Family run 
The family that run this shop live in the flat just above it. They are a lovelly family and all chip in with the shifts so you will easily get to know them all. Parking is a bit dodgy and you may have to walk a while. Prices are higher than the supermarket but it beats driving all the way in to South Molton for those little bits and bobs.

In competition
The Miners has always been in friendly competition with the Poltimore which is just down the road. Their food isn't as good but there are usually far more drinkers in here which helps the feel of the place. It is worth trying out both places.

Good food
The food in this pub is a very well kept secret! It is never overly busy which cuts down on waiting time. The prices are good. I recommend the Sunday roast! It is fantastic and you will be stuffed with the huge portion sizes

Good amount of stock
This store is not very big at all but they have a good amount of stock on display. As the other review said, parking is a nightmare. There are only 4 spaces in a layby next to the shop entrance and if these are full you will have to try to find a space in a nearby estate, not the most convenient of situations.

Live music
The Castle Inn at landkey is a very friendly local pub. They often have local live music at the weekend which is always a great night out. The locals crowd in and the atmosphere is fantastic. Good food too if you fancy a snack mid foot tapping.

Strawberrys and cream 
The best thing about cricket is sitting on the grass with a few nibbles and a nice cold cider. The locals really love their cricket And it is just a stunning setting for a lazy afternoon.

local village shop
This is a small but well stocked little village shop. It stocks a fair amount of local produce like local clotted cream and hand made greeting cards. It is locally run and the service is very very friendly. Prices are alot cheaper than your average small shop.

Lovelly
This place is so very popular in Instow. The food is excellent and the service is great. It is a top quality restaurant with a local pub style feel. Warm and comfortable and well worth a visit. If you get a table seat you han look accross to Appledore across the water whch is just fab

It is a shame if the rumours are true that this place has closed. It was a good sized venue that served good quality food. Ideal for large parties, they would do all they could to cater for any amount of people

good for drinks
This place is known for good food but i admit i have yet to try it, i do however enjoy meeting friends in here for drinks after work. The drinks are cheap and the staff are really friendly. A good atmosphere.
