Heatin up
New look is well known for the latest styles at rock bottom prices and this branch is no exception. The layout of the shop leave a lot to be desired though they have a large shop floor and tiny changing rooms which are too hot and small to be comfortable.

Try something new today??!
Try a new supermarket! This branch is always so busy it really frustrates me! I get serious 'trolly rage' with dithering idiots in the isle. The food is good and the sainsburys own brand is a good quality but try visiting late at night to avoid the crowds.

Another chain store
Cash converters must make a good wage from nuying and selling as they have developed into a huge chain of stores. The problem is that they will buy for cheap and then make a huge mark up on that item. Not really fair to the origional seller really! The staff are a little too smarmy and pushy for my liking.

When the Internet cafe first opened in Plymouth, you could hardly move for people using the computers and having a cuppa. Now it seems there is hardly ever anyone in here! My guess is that the Internet is far too easy to install at home. A shame really.

This shop is full of tat and rubbish with only the odd gem to be found. If you are after 300 lighters for a pond or a bucket and spade for 20p then have a look. But i certainly wouldn't recommend it for gift shopping

Gamestation is so popular and this branch is busy all day everyday. At the weekend you may as well not bother as you won't be able to get to the games for kids and harrassed parents. Some great deals if you are lucky enough to fight through the crowds.

This really is a midnight curry house. It is open til all hours and is ideal if you fancy a late night snack. It is a tad dingy inside and could do with a lick of paint, but try to forget that when you order the take away as the curries are gorge!

Stodgy
This place is ok for a quick bit if you having a full day of shopping. The food is cooked in bulk and kept warm under a bain marie which can make it a bit stodgy. The prices are high too so make sure you check out the price list before you get stung at the till.

Choose carefully
Witheridge is a strange little village. If you are in the area and fancy a trip to one of their 2 pubs, choose carefully because if you are spotted going in to the dog by the lanlord of the Angel, he will never let you in. How random! Saying that, the Angel is a nice little pub. A good range of beers and the landlords are friendly, if you choose their pub first that is!

It is an odd layout in here with the bar bang in the centre of the pub in the shape of a complete circle. The atmosphere is a bit strange and you are made to feel out of place if your face isn't recognised as being a through and through local.

This branch of boots is very small, if you need to talk to the pharmasist, they simply put a screen up that is no more private than talking behind a newspaper. They have an ok selection of stock and the prices are typically boots prices but the size of the place realy lets them down.

Currys seems cheap and reasonable when you are in there but when you look around properley you will find better deals to be had. The staff are ok in here, i sometimes feel their sales technique at the till - trying desperatly to sell you insurance for the product you are buying, which never fills me with confidence.

Daunting
The exterio of this dealers gives a good friendly impression. On one side you have the mechanics singing along to the radio and charging cars around. On the other side is the valeting service busy hoovering away and singing to a different radio station! Then inside, the showroom is very clean. It is also very quiet and quite daunting. Everyone can hear you walk in, it is just a matter of time before a panther in a suit pounces!

Its true, the machines in here are in a reall need of an upgrade. I am not encouraged to go in here, pay pretty much a tenner for a game of bowling just to have the lane freeze numerous times during my game. They do have a good variety of arcade games out at the back though and you can pay £1 to go in and just play these or a game of pool.

I know a chap that bought from here recently. Although the guys have really tried their best to help him out and to sort out the MANY problems with the vehicle, they still were not entirly honest when they sold it to him. Had they owned up about all the problems it had, he probably wouldn't of bought it. Their helpfull manner seems to come along a little too late.

I am a real lover of VW and it is a shame that this place doesn't have more to see and test drive. The prices are through the roof and they won't be budged on them. The staff though are really great and do seem to understand that their prices are high but cannot do anything about it. Worth a look.

Braunton is a very large village and is also a very popular tourist destination. Pretty much all year round this place is packed and in the summer it is wild! There really needs to be another car park as caen street is just too small. It is very rare that you will find a space.

This is a very good sized shop with 2 floors. Like Sarah S said the parking is so easy, the car park is huge and never full. Prices in here are very reasonable. If you have a particular colour scheme, make sure you have a good look round because you will find matching bits all over the place.

This branch of Lloyds is also located next to a medical centre which makes it very very busy at all times of the day. They do offer a blood pressure checking service but you will have to be prepared to wait a while for this! Perhaps more staff would aid the waiting times?

Phones 4 U give the completely wrong impression as you walk past them in Green lanes. Thefront of the shop is mostly glass with a bright open plan office inside. It looks and feels un approachable from the outside - and inside!! The staff are all yapping away in super smart suits and i am always afraid i will go in for a phone and come out being hard sold into all sorts of other money sucking schemes.

When i finally found the assistants there seemed to be a fleet of them and they all pounced on me at once! I shortly left never to return. Over bearing staff here guys. I have tried Chinese herbal treat ment before and i'm not creally that convinced. These guys claim to be able to stop you from smoking, cure skin disorders and a whole lot more. I do know people that think this method of medication is great, so if you fancy it. This is the place to go.

I think this chemist has changed hands. It is a small ish store but tends to have everything you need. What is annoying is that they tend to not man the tills. There are tills at each end of the shop, so you can be standing at one for ages until you realise they want you down the other end of the shop. Grrrr

Green lanes cafe is not the best. The coffee is good but the food is left in bain maries and this tends to ruin it. I recently went for breakfast, my sausages were dry and cold and my egg was nearly hatched! I found it very expensive too!

This place has had various different names, with each new name, it has a fresh lick of paint. But this doesn't change the fact that it is a bit rubbish. There is a HUGE dancefloor. Drinks are expensive and there is never enough staff to work the bar.

I once had a t shirt printed as a present for a friend. The price was reasonable and it looked very good when it was done. I didn't have to wait long for it and the service was friendly. The only thing wrong was that after trying the t shirt on, the lettering fell off. Not good!

A cut above is just an average hairdressers. I don't like to give a bad review but the staff here are quite clicky and can make customers feel uncomfortable. For this reason i choose to have my hair cut at a different salon. There are people i know that enjoy visits to A Cut Above but, its not for me.

Not the best club in the world
For me, Caesars is a nightmare. Always busy at the weekend, expensive drinks and a sticky floor. Saynig that, it is very popular and people return time after time. It has 4 bars and a choice of different music styles... Classic tunes, R and B and chart dance music. Its worth a go if you want to dance the night away. Be aware though you will need to pay to get in.

Only for the weekends
This bar seems to be only open at the weekends. I have not personally seen it trading at any other time. It is seen as the place to go to end a night out on the town. Quite often busy with music and a dancefloor. Its fun, but if it is busy there is a long wait for the bar and drinks can be expensive.

Ah the memories
This pub used to be 'the place to go' in Bideford but i'm sorry to say things have drastically changed. Set over three floors with a bar on each, this used to be a great place for a midweek quiet tipple and a buzzing place for the weekend nightlife. These days though, there seems to be a lack of customers, the bars feel slightly dingy and staff are no where near as friendly.

not for me.
Overpriced, over rated and their 'special sauce' is really not that special. Service is slow and the selection on the menu is not good. The tables always seem to be in need of a good scrub.

A wimpy in disguise!
Mr. M's is pretty much your average wimpy but cleverly disguised with green signing and smart waitresses. You still get your food served on 'proper plates' the same as the Wimpy and the price is still far too high for the standard of food recieved.

Review of Cork & Bottle

Whatever happened to this place!?
Back in my college days there was nothing i enjoyed more than cocktails at the cork and bottle. Always great times to be had in a pub filled with laughter. These days however it seems to of lost the fun element. A shame.
