Tiny and never open 
This newsagents is tucked away behind the square in Witheridge.Not only hard to find, it is tiny and can't store much stock and 99 percent of the time it is closed! Rubbish

smile! 
The staff in here really need to smile a bit more. You get the feeling they just can't be bothered. Saying that, there is a great range of mags and chocci all good prices.

Small but fun
This place is very small but seem to stock just about everything you need. The service is great with only a couple of members of staff that are local and very very friendly.

Mini supermarket 
The prices in here are similar to that of your local supermarket which is a nice surprise as usually smaller shops are over priced. A good selection on offer and happy service.

Great neigbours.
This place is a general newsagent. Sweets, mags and papers. The carpet always jumps up and smacks me in the face as it needs a darn good clean!! My suggestion is, get your paper from here, a nice hot sarnie from the food outlet opposite and sit in the church yard to do a bit of chav spotting! Good old Barnstaple!

Does the job
Yep this place has everything a decent newsagents should have. Lots of Papers and magazines. I always find it frustrating looking for the magazine i am after and not getting it everywhere. This shop has a wide selection at bog standard newsagent prices.

I'm sure this is now Spar?!?
It has a really odd lay out in here. The entrance is crammed with drinks fridges and 1 decent isle has been made into 2 with a partitian of choccie etc. Basically a good little shop for those bits you forget on a big shop or for a quick drink and sarnie.

Dave L. I remember there being 2 John Menzies in Barnstaple!! At each end of the high street if my memories serves me well! I can't even think what is in place of them now!

Smallest ever!
This news agents is so small it makes me chuckle, It does have a good range of stock though which is surprising. The staff are friendly too and it is opposite the best pub in Appledore - the rose and crown so pop in for a pint after that stressfull stamp purchase.

Donuts
This shop has loads of mags and papers. There is a magazine stand bang in the middle of the shop making it a donut shape which always amuses me. Run rings around them at Watsons

Bideford news is possibly the smallest newsagents ever! You can get your paper and they have managed to squeeze in a selection of drinks and snacks. Try to go in on your own so you have room to turn around.

This place is so crammed with nik naks that there is barely enough room for customers. You can pretty much find whatever you need here. Whether its a bottle of whiskey, penny sweets or a frisby.
