Review of Emiles

Emile's 3*

This place has a great relaxed atmosphere. It's rarely to find a restaurant that gives the possibility to eat and stay comfortable and relaxed. I had chicken breast stuffed with goat’s cheese mousse, really good. I tasted a grilled sea bream from a friend of mine and it was very good too.

Review of Red Rose

06 May 08, 16:47

Red Rose 3*

Red Rose seems the ideal place for a working lunch or dinner, or perhaps a late-night amorous outing for two. Given its location, we were not surprised to see many suit-and-tie-clad gentlemen quietly and comfortably discussing business. Currently, the lunch and dinner menu is exactly the same, however, having recently opened, the establishment is looking to offering chef specials down the road.

Review of The Clifton

Indian Food 3*

In this restaurant we followed our waiter’s recommendation, we had Chicken Tofa, a Goan dish of roasted chicken in a vibrant green sauce. No food colouring in this dish though; the sauce comprises a range of green spices including fresh mint, coriander, green chilli, tamarind and green peppers. Food is good and staff very friendly.

Review of Lebanese Lounge

Lebanese Lounge 3*

The restaurant is clean and cosy. Staff is quite helpful and friendly. The menu features a plethora of dishes, divided into cold mezze, hot mezze, grilled main courses, fish and seafood and side dishes. I recommend eating here with a group of friends and ordering a selection of mezze to share, a great way to sample the varied and uniformly excellent starters.

Review of Green and Red

Good Dessert! 3*

This restaurant has a very good food and staff is wonderful! Our waiter was really nice and he gave us some advices about dishes. He encouraged us to try the churros with chocolate. The chocolate, a speciality of the Oaxacan region, was absolutely indulgent.

Review of Cork and Bottle Wine Bar

30 Apr 08, 17:10

Wine Bar 3*

At Cork and Bottle Wine Bar there's table service at lunch but in the evening food is served from the central bar. The menu ranges from simple salads such as tomato, mozzarella and basil at £4.50 (and for tomatoes with flavour and mozzarella di buffala that's a real bargain) to grills including an open grilled sirloin sandwich.

Review of Belgo Centraal

30 Apr 08, 16:45

Food and Beer 3*

Belgo is a fun place to eat, and while this is hardly haute cuisine, a total bill for three, including drinks and service, of under £60 represents reasonably good value. This place is famous above all for his beers, there are lots of beers, many native to Belgium and served in weird and wonderfully shaped glasses or steins.

Review of Livebait

30 Apr 08, 16:21

Chain of Seafood 3*

A chain of seafood restaurants with five branches in London and one in each of Leeds and Manchester, Livebait aims to offer "a nirvana for all lovers of seafood". A cheesy corporate statement this may be, but one glance at the menu and I was already half convinced. I found that fish is good and fresh and staff is nice and helpful.

Review of The Living Room

29 Apr 08, 17:04

The Living Room 3*

The staff were extremely welcoming and before long, we were comfortably settled at our table with a couple of glasses of wine in front of us. The décor is pared down wood - blocky wooden tables and chairs on polished wood flooring against wood panelled walls. the atmosphere is nice and we enjoyed our dinner.

Nice 3*

This restaurant has a contemporary and comfortable atmosphere. Staff is friendly and helpful in fact our waiter gave us some advice about what to taste. Food was good and tasty, just one portion was a little bit salty. City Cafe is a nice place and not expensive so you cant taste it.

Review of Bank

29 Apr 08, 15:01

Bank 3*

I've been to Bank with a friend of mine and we both enjoyed our meals. The food in all three courses was excellent. I though some of the service was a little on the slow side at times but otherwise it was very friendly and professional. The atmospehere is unformal and quiet. What is not good is that prices are quite high.

Review of Punjab Indian Restaurant

29 Apr 08, 13:55

Punjab 3*

Shis restaurant is situated near Covent Garden and it's opened everyday, to have lunch and to have dinner. Maybe the Punjab is a little bit turistic but it's cosy and staff is really friendly and helpful. The food is the tipical Punjab's food , well cooked and well served.

Review of The Neal Street Restaurant

29 Apr 08, 13:47

Neal Street Restaurant 3*

The Neal Street Restaurant offers a well cooked Italian food. You can taste the great experience of Antonio Carluccio. The restaurant offers different Regional specialities but the most important food are mushrooms. The menú has always mushrooms in season. All the ingredients come from Italy. The restaurant is modern and elegant with lots of mirrors.

Review of Noura Belgravia

29 Apr 08, 12:38

Ok but Expensive 3*

Noura is a pleasant and modern restaurant but not formal. The Arabian bread wasn't so good but we went to the restaurant late so I image that they heated up in the oven in fact it was pasty. Service is kind, polite ant puntual. I found this restaurant quite expensive...

Review of Il Convivio

29 Apr 08, 12:09

Not Just Italian Food 3*

The chef Lukas Pfaff has a long experience fully fledged in Italian restaurants. He creates his dishes using the Italian secret more his creativity. He cares above all about pasta and everyday they prepare fresh pasta to cook. The restaurant is really pleasant, bright and cosy. There's also a specific area for people who wants to smoke.

Review of Almeida Restaurant

29 Apr 08, 11:48

Almeida 3*

This restaurant offers French and Regional food, simple but good. In the menú there are tipical dishes as: onion soup, parsley frog legs, paté and rilettes, coq au vin, steak au poivre, tarte tatin, etc. The restaurant has a private room and an area for wine testing where is possible to smoke cigars available here. Staff is French and young.

Review of Wesleys House, Chapel and Museum

23 Apr 08, 17:10

Wesley's Chapel 3*

Wesley's Chapel was built by the founder of Methodism, John Wesley. The chapel was opened in 1778 to replace John Wesley's earlier London chapel, The Foundery. In 1776 John Wesley applied to the City of London for a site to build his new chapel and was granted an area of land on City Road, London. After raising considerable funds the foundation stone for the new chapel was laid on 21 April 1777. The architect was George Dance the Younger.

Review of Museum Of London Shop

23 Apr 08, 17:05

Museum of London 3*

The Museum of London tell about the history of London from the Prehistoric to the present day. The museum is located near the Barbican Centre, and a few minutes walk north of St Paul's Cathedral. The museum is concerned with the social history of London and its inhabitants throughout history. A good "news" is that admission is free.

Review of The Foundling Museum

23 Apr 08, 17:00

The Foundling Museum 3*

The Foundling Museum tells the story of the Foundling Hospital and houses the nationally important Foundling Hospital Art Collection. The Museum presents the work of Thomas Coram, the artist William Hogarth and the composer George Frideric Handel. It also illustrates how the Foundling Hospital's charity work for children is still carried on today by Coram.

Review of Asda Stores

23 Apr 08, 13:52

Asda 3*

I rarely go to this store but when I go there I always find what I'm looking for. In fact Asda offers food, clothing and general merchandise. I find that food has good quality and I've never been unsatisfied. The store is well organized and it's clean too.

Review of National Army Museum

21 Apr 08, 17:25

Museum 3*

Close to the Royal Hospital, this is an antiquated museum that tells the history of the english army. The museum is simple and it shows horrors and glories. The most interesting rooms are the one about the Redcoat Age and the one the tells about the Waterloo battle between Napoleone and the Duke of Weelington. The museum's shop is really nice.

Review of Museum Of London

21 Apr 08, 13:59

Museum to Relax 3*

I found this museum a resting place, good to spend a few hours on the weekend. The most recent gallery, called London Before London, deals with the Thames Vally's development. I found very interesting the carriage, the leaden coffin, the skeleton and the reconstruction of a young roman girl's face.

Review of Percival David Foundation Of Chinese Art

21 Apr 08, 13:47

Percival 3*

Even if this place could seem old and antiquated the staff is friendly and nice. The lack of crowd and the peculiarity of the collection are two good reasons to go to this museum. We don't have to undervalue that this museum has the biggest collection of Chinese ceramics.

Review of Pollocks Toy Museum

21 Apr 08, 13:37

Toy's Collection 3*

Pollock's Toy Museum has a certain appeal for adults, even if it deals with toys. There are a thousands of ancient games: board games, tin games, puppets and dolls, doll's house and waxdolls, comics and hand-built games from whole the world. I think the most interesting gallery is the little theater's collection.

Review of Baltic

18 Apr 08, 16:48

Polish Food 3*

This restaurant offer the real Polish food ad 90%. You can taste "pierogi" and "caviar", black pudding and smoked eels. The restaurtant's structure is not so nice, above all the bar area, is really sad and grey. I've never tasted this food before and I'll go there again because it has been a nice surprise.

Review of Bramah Tea and Coffee Museum

18 Apr 08, 16:22

Have a Cup of tea 3*

In this nice and nostalgic museum you can spend a pleasant time. I don't advice to follow the guides because they explain all the tea history and it's not so interesting. It' incredible the number of utensils used to prepare tea and coffee as cups, silverware and Japanese tea bins.

Review of Poste Mistress

Shoes Shoes Shoes and Shoes 3*

I love this place, every time I have been I've walked out with a pair of shoes. The shoes here are amazing but a bit out of the price range for most of us.The designs are timeless and elegant without being too pretentious, and the shop itself is beautiful, and never seems to be too busy.

Review of Vibe Bar

14 Apr 08, 16:43

Not bad 3*

Located in the old Truman Brewery in a small courtyard on Brick Lane. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic about the music and keen to tell you about forthcoming events. Maby music it's too loud, yes, it can annoy. The Vibe Bar prices are cheap at less than £3 a pint (not on the weekend!)

Review of McDonalds

10 Apr 08, 16:10

McNuggets!!! 3*

Sometimes I go to this McDonalds to have lunch, I love the chicken mcnuggets and I'm always satisfied by the food. Unfortunatly sometimes there's a lot of people so the restaurant become a little bit chaotich and I can't find a seat. I like to seat upstairs, eat chicken mcnuggets and have a break from my job with my colleagues!
