Review of Red Rose

06 May 08, 16:47

Red Rose 3*

Red Rose seems the ideal place for a working lunch or dinner, or perhaps a late-night amorous outing for two. Given its location, we were not surprised to see many suit-and-tie-clad gentlemen quietly and comfortably discussing business. Currently, the lunch and dinner menu is exactly the same, however, having recently opened, the establishment is looking to offering chef specials down the road.

Review of River Spice

Food and Drinks 4*

This restaurant offers different kind of food, there's not just Indian cuisine and though there are obvious Indian influences, the food is more widely inspired by both Thai and European ingredients and cooking styles. If you don't like beer there's a reasonably priced wine list mixing old and new world, but only the house red and white are available by the glass.

Review of The Clifton

06 May 08, 16:24

Indian Food 3*

In this restaurant we followed our waiter’s recommendation, we had Chicken Tofa, a Goan dish of roasted chicken in a vibrant green sauce. No food colouring in this dish though; the sauce comprises a range of green spices including fresh mint, coriander, green chilli, tamarind and green peppers. Food is good and staff very friendly.

Review of Kasturi

06 May 08, 16:05

Kasturi 4*

This is the right place for business dinners, relaxed out-of-office lunches, and perhaps most importantly, for relieving the craving of a self-confessed curry addict. The menu is wide ranging, with a few favourites, but many more unusual dishes. The most "strange" dish that we had it was a side order of bharwan tinda, an unusual dish of stuffed gourds.

Review of Mela

Mela 4*

However you decide to sample Mela's impressive cuisine, make sure you reserve, and leave yourself enough time to get through the queues. Food is fresh, tasty and well cooked. Staff is polite and friendly. The only bad thing is that the restaurant is a little bit noisy becasue it's always busy.

Review of Sugar Club

Sugar Club 4*

The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere, with quality people-watching opportunities at the bar. The downstairs dining room is more sedate, the minimalist décor and dimmed lights creating a stylish but relaxed feel. Food is good, I had fish and i can say it was fresh and tasty, well cooked.

Review of Imli

29 Apr 08, 16:57

Imli 2*

Imli is the perfect location for a quick pre- or post-theatre snack, after work drinks and nibbles or a casual drop-in for lunch. The small portions allow one to sample a great variety of tastes and the fresh juices are a must. The staff seem to be divided into a sort of hierarchy. The friendly woman who attended us was helpful and knowledgeable, but the others who brought dishes out seemed uninterested.

Review of Punjab Indian Restaurant

29 Apr 08, 13:55

Punjab 3*

Shis restaurant is situated near Covent Garden and it's opened everyday, to have lunch and to have dinner. Maybe the Punjab is a little bit turistic but it's cosy and staff is really friendly and helpful. The food is the tipical Punjab's food , well cooked and well served.

Review of Mazza

Not Good 1*

I didn't like this restaurant. I find that the food was dry and too spicy. The place was very busy and noisy and there was so hot! Service was slow and we had to wait 20 minutes for our dishes. This is not the best indian restaurant as I heard before.

Review of The Red Fort

21 Apr 08, 14:52

Indian Food 4*

The Red Fort is a restaurant in the vanguard, today as in the past. In fact his reputation is good today too. Is one of the most fancy and fashon restaurant of Soho. There are delicious dishes as Nizami Kaliya and Mahi Tikka. Staff is nice and friendly, always ready to help the client.
