Review of Eddys Take Away Food Shops
29 May 08, 22:33
fantastic Christmas light display
If you're not sure where Eddies is, then I suggest that you take a drive up Sackville Road during December to take full advantage of the absolutely fantastic Christmas light display they adorn their shop facia in. It's tacky but in such an ironic way. Plus they were amazing on a drunken night recently when they kept their shop open for me to collect a Hawaiian half an hour after they'd shut. Now that's what I call service.

Review of Krisp

Krisp is so sequinalicious it's untrue
You need a spangly top for a party or spesh night out? You need to pay this shop a visit. Krisp is so sequinalicious it's untrue. I bought some wonderfully on-trend (and more importantly, on-budget) tops in here before Christmas, and they are still firm faithfuls in my wardrobe. I've had to re-sew some of the buttons back on, however is that really too out of the question when it's about 15GBP a top? Apart from that, the quality is really good. To top it all, the guys that run the shop are so passionate about their products and so friendly it's a pleasure to shop here.

Review of Zara

Fabulous men's shorts
I never usually have my fashion itch properly scratched when I've been to this particular branch. Compared to Oxford Street the range down here is just never as satisfying or broad. I do like the fact that it's a Spanish brand and they have lots of Spanish staff, which somehow adds to the nice European feel of the store. I have to say that they do fabulous men's shorts (well, this season anyway), which aren't necessarily the camo-combat style that seems to be the only style that men can usually buy.

Review of Marni

so stylish it almost hurts
This is the UK flagship Marni boutique, and when you step inside this store you are really getting one amazing experience of in-store architechture and cutting-edge Italian womenswear and accessories.
Marni, famous for it's leather goods (wonderfully designed bags and shoes) also has got some awesome pattern cutters which budget-dependent could see you leaving here looking so stylish it almost hurts.

Review of Koh Samui

Koh Samui put the "bo" in "bo ho"
Koh Samui in my eyes put the "bo" in "bo ho" some eight years ago, and when you walk into this boutique you really get a sense that you're not going to find a more beautifully merchandised store which is impeccably colour schemed. Be warned, you will be required to re-mortgage before you actually can spend freely in here.

Review of Ted Baker

a really unexpectedly interesting collection
Ted Baker have recently appointed two new creative directors and boy what a good job they are doing at shunning the mainstream image this brand has suffered with over the past decade. The womenswear range, set on the second floor is a really unexpectedly interesting collection. Lots of bow details and kitschness in this season which is very impressive. The sizing comes up a bit small for my liking, with most of the lines sculpted for a willowy physique. Thank goodness in a way as it seriously saves my bank balance from being plunged in the red forever!

Review of Black Rabbit Inn

Does country life get any better ?
Does country life get any better than being able to moor a little motor boat outside the Black Rabbit, then be able to eat locally sourced Sussex produce on the banks of the River Arun?
Every time I've been here it feels like time stops still and you've not a care in the world. Despite the fact it's gets incredibly busy during sunny lunchtimes, it is a great location and pituresque beyond expectations.

Review of Arundel Castle Enterprises
29 May 08, 19:26
Wonderful for so many reasons
This castle is wonderous for many reasons, however the most important I think is that it's still inhabited and used as a castle by the Duke and Duchess of Norfolk.
The gardens are perfectly manicured, and stepping inside the grounds is like having every stress and strain removed from your body as you walk into this idyllic haven of beauty and history.
There is great wheelchair access too so users can actually get to experience inside the castle on different floors thanks to the lifts inside.

Review of Eaton Road Dental Practice
29 May 08, 19:22
Insist on having the door closed!
I'm still deciding if I like this dental practice or not. Based on my experiences of being rather scared of any dental work, I joined this practice in January. When I arrived I was able to watch and hear the person's treatment sitting in the dreaded (for some) chair in the treatment room. I asked to have the door shut when I went in, to save not only my own dignity from screaming like a three year old child before the dentist even started looking, but also because it's quite an odd thing to have people in the waiting room, which is right next to the only treatment room in the practice, being able to experience your pain along with you. However, the work I've had has been reasonable. The building's actually quite quaint, and like a wooden lodge at centre parcs. Just opposite the Cricket Club in Hove too so a nice leafy surroundings whilst you have a lovey root canal.

good place to have a proper catch up with friends or family
This pub is just the cutest. It's got that lovely country pub vibe and their menu is fantastic. It's a good place to have a proper catch up with friends or family as it doesn't get too crowded or leary.
