Review of Koh Samui

Koh Samui put the "bo" in "bo ho"
Koh Samui in my eyes put the "bo" in "bo ho" some eight years ago, and when you walk into this boutique you really get a sense that you're not going to find a more beautifully merchandised store which is impeccably colour schemed. Be warned, you will be required to re-mortgage before you actually can spend freely in here.

Review of Ted Baker

a really unexpectedly interesting collection
Ted Baker have recently appointed two new creative directors and boy what a good job they are doing at shunning the mainstream image this brand has suffered with over the past decade. The womenswear range, set on the second floor is a really unexpectedly interesting collection. Lots of bow details and kitschness in this season which is very impressive. The sizing comes up a bit small for my liking, with most of the lines sculpted for a willowy physique. Thank goodness in a way as it seriously saves my bank balance from being plunged in the red forever!

somewhere between Reiss and Jigsaw
What a fabulous boutique. I'd never shopped there before, but the collection is somewhere between Reiss and Jigsaw - i.e fashion forward but pretty earthy. They've got a brilliant selection, although the service was a bit pretentious until I took about five items to the counter and all of a sudden they were friendly. Don't be put off though, the clothes in here have a subtle nod to the 50's and 60's but with a wonderful modern edge that'll give your work and weekend wardrobe a wonderful fashion fix.

Delish Macaroni Cheese...
I know it's not the sexiest dish ever, however this was just one of the wonderful dishes on offer when I went here for a girly lunch. It's a great buzzy atmosphere, with great service and really not too pricey considering the fantastic food and central location.

the venue to impress
What a wonderfully classy venue this is. Attached to the equally classy St Martins Lane Hotel, I enjoyed far too many delicious cocktails here last week. It's just such a cool spot that you really do need to make sure you're in your Sunday Best so you don't feel out of place against the impossibly glamorous and beautiful table watresses. I supped a wonderful Vladtini cocktail, which was a peachy pinky colour, dressed with a brightly coloured fresh pansy flower and accompanied by a champagne chaser with a strawberry in it. This is the venue to impress.

Stefano: The God of Hairdressing
This Essensuals has recently been taken over by an Italian Hairdresser called Stefano, who in my eyes is The God of Hairdressing. He's been coiffering my barnet for about nine years now, and despite the fact that he is about 60 miles away from where I live, it's completely worth every minute of travelling. This salon is bursting full of creativity and impossibly trendy but friendly talent.

for the young amongst us
This club is for the young amongst us...which unfortunately doesn't include me anymore. Famous for it's heyday during the superclub era of the mid-ninetees, this club is now not a destination I'd go out of my way to go to, but I think they still put on the classic Bedrock nights there.
