enjoyed the cocktail masterclass
I've not actually stayed here, but enjoyed the cocktail masterclass one drunken afternoon a few months ago. The masterclass lasts for two hours and is hosted by just one man who manages to keep his group (usually a gaggling raucous hen do of 14 girls like I was on I imagine) completely entertained and under control. The views from the bar are fantastic and it is a great way to break up a weekend if you're in Brighton with a big group of girls. I have to take my hat off to the bar tender, he was really, really good.

Review of Hotel Pelirocco

Great bar...shame about the rooms
I booked the red room at the Hotel Pelirocco for a special occasion last November. I'd heard great things about Brighton's "original boutique hotel", and chose the room which best fitted my budget and tastes - some are uber quirky. The concept is great with lots of different themes to choose from. Unfortunately, when we stayed our room was FREEZING cold, dusty, dark AND the bathroom was so badly decorated, and in fact, it was a really badly partitioned cupboard squeezed into the room. The painting finish was really bad and it just looked like they'd got someone's dad to decorate it without any concern for attention to detail. Had the hype and website not been all about the "luxury" then I wouldn't have minded so much, but the price was equally as luxurious so I was disappointed. The bar however is really, really cool...so long as you don't mind sitting on faux pink leather (PVC don't you know!). With the wonderful Drakes so close by come on HP, you can do better than this!

Review of Sea Spray Boutique Hotel

loved staying here
I absolutely loved staying here. The staff are so friendly and the rooms are beautifully designed, as you'd expect from the now popular upmarket B&B's in Brighton aptly named "boutique hotels". Great location just off St James's Street in Kemp Town, and completely walkable into town if you're not local.
