Review of The Newman Arms
11 Apr 08, 11:35
Traditional London pub with a world-class pie-room!
When you first walk into the Newman, you know instantly that you’ve found a proper London pub. Despite its proximity to trendy West-End bars and restaurants, and its new Flash web site, this is not just another pub chain franchise or some posh bar. No mate. This is a genuine old-school English boozer.
Upstairs you’ll find the world-famous pie room, with a selection ranging from traditional rabbit pie to modern favourites like steak-and-ale pie with puff-pastry. What more could you possibly want from a pub?

Review of Woo Sang Chinese Restaurant
11 Apr 08, 11:12
Cheap n' cheerful Chinese buffet
I’m not sure where this web site gets its address database from, but this place is known as “Mr Woos”. I did check this with other local/review sites like. viewlondon.co.uk.
Now we’ve established which restaurant we’re talking about, I’ll tell you what I think of the place. I often hear people complaining about Mr Woos, but I’m sure it suits some people. That's why I've awarded this 3 stars which on this site (no, we're not talking about the Le Guide Michelin here) means "As expected".
If what you’re looking for is fast, cheap grub, in a prominent location that’s easy to find even after several pints of Tsingtao, then this place is for you. If not, just walk another few steps and you’re in China town where you’ll find the best selection of Oriental restaurants this side of the Great Wall.
