Review of Soundhouse Turnkey

Guitars and music equipment
The most friendly, helpful new-music shop in London. A vast array of beautiful (and painfully expensive) guitars (upstairs) and editing and recording software (downstairs). Everything in the shop is usable upon visit - all you need to do is ask. You can spend whole days sampling the drum machines or strumming on 12-string epic guitars. Warning: you might lose track of time (and possibly lots of money).

Review of Les Aldrich Music Shop

Sheet music galore
This shop is almost entirely classical-based but is always stocked with musical equipment, sheet music for every instrument and is always able to order anything that isn't on offer at the time. This shop must have thrived during my saxophone playing days due to the frequency of reed-buying.

Review of Fopp

Big glass house
The shop itself seemingly appeared overnight, looking out over Camden Lock, replacing the skate shop that used to be there. The products are mostly grouped by price and you will be surprised by how cheap some of the things actually are. Sometimes quite famous bands play small sets in-store and do signings afterwards (they will sign ANYTHING).
