Review of Galicia Tapas Bar & Restaurant

23 Apr 08, 13:54

Venga! 4*

This is a typical tapas restaurant. All the usual dishes are on offer. Have had a few nice meals here, one was lunch and the other was a birthday party with loads of people. The service was good and the atmosphere was buzzing as it was busy both times. I would recommend you try it out as its one of the best tapas in Croydon, but book before you go if it’s at the weekend.

Review of La Rioja

Loves it! 5*

I thought this was located further down the road to Shirley....Anyway..

I love this Tapas bar, it is amazing! It used to be a run down old pub and has recently changed ownership and opened as a tapas bar! You can go in for just a drink or a drink and nibble or a sit down meal. The atmosphere is chilled out and with lots of different areas it feels more intimate than other places. When we went there were couples, families and groups of parties, but because there are lots of little areas it feels relaxed. The menu is really nice and there are all the usual dishes on offer plus a couple that you might not have seen before. The food is fresh and well cooked. The service is excellent. We had a really nice meal here; prices are average for tapas in the area although this is by far the best tapas restaurant. Try it out!

Review of El Patio

Spanish 3*

This tapas restaurant is nice and airy, with stone floors and has that outdoor patio feel... hence the name. It is a bit cold and uncomfy for me, but the service is good and food is nice. It’s nothing special but you can guarantee a good meal especially if you are in a group. They do group bookings which is handy. You can also just pop in for a drink at the bar and nibbles. I would recommend this restaurant although it is not the best in the area.

Review of Andalucia

Andalucia 4*

This isnt called Bendinat anymore its called Andalucia. This is a great Tapas restaurant by the Church in Beckenham. Parking is easy, which is always a bonus. The restaurant is quite big and we have had a few birthday parties there. The food is good, all the usual tapas are on offer as well as Spanish main courses. The paella is great and as good as those you get in Spain. The staff are friendly and service is good. Prices are average for the area (not too expensive). It’s a nice place to go for a meal anytime and any occasion. I would recommend it.
