Review of Carling Academy

Medium Sized Music Venue and Bar
Quite a few bands play here in the small bar of the venue although no one too big has played here for a while. Its a nice venue and has a good atmosphere on the weekend. The best time to go I find the the XFM first friday (1st friday of every month) which opens up the main venue hall as well. Beer is a little pricey although they do put offers on Carling (as it's the sponsored by them!) which makes it ok. Most of the music you will find here are rock/indie and most of the club nights are suited towards these genres. Overall It's a good place to try out.

Review of Woodys Express

Best Local Store in North London
Probably the best convenience store in North London. Woody's is always open and they have a good quality range of food, drink and booze. They have loads of fresh food in as well and I can't really fault the place on anything. The service is excellent and when Ive had problems looking for booze, someones always on hand to help me get what I want. It's a very convient convenience store!

Review of Peedees Newsagents

An average newsagents, but friendly and convienient
Peedees is yet another average newsagents situated down Holloway Road. With all your paper and magazine needs, as well as beer, soft drink and chocolate selections, Peedees is a well run, efficient business. It is also incredibly friendly though. Ran by a pleasant family, there's always an air of friendliness about this place. I can pop in here, buy a paper, and leave content. There is also a permanent supply of Oreos for sale on the desktop, and this is a luxury I struggle to find elsewhere. Quality.

Review of Curry's Digital
19 May 07, 17:57
Friendly staff, but a limited electronics range
Over the last few months, I've found myself growing particularly disheartened with some of Canary Wharf's shops. Currys Digital especially is hardly that useful. When I pop into an electronics store, I'm not sure why, but I actually expect there to be a wide range of electronic appliances. Specialising in certain fields, the range of different products is limited. It is true that what electronics the store does have, you can get in top condition and with a friendly smile from the staff, but unfortunately there isn't necessarily something for everyone here.
