Review of Le Petit Poisson

Petit but perfectly formed
This restaurant really is a gem. Authentically French cooking, quirky decor and great service combine to create a wonderful eating experience.
The menu was well thought out and offered something for everyone, although there were a couple of bizarre combinations.
Highlights include lobster salad, tempura prawns and cod with olives and chorizo.
Whilst there are probably better fish restaurants in east Kent, the value for money here is unrivalled

Review of The Science Museum

Bringing science to life
There are so many fantastic things to do for free in London and a visit to the Science Museum has to be one of the best.
My daughter has a very enquiring mind and never does she seem so fulfilled than when she is exploring the many activities on offer here. She is engrossed for hours when strolling around the galleries specifically designed for children and loves eating in the cafe.
I must say I disagree that there is not much for adults as I enjoy exploring the development of the industrial world, even if it is through household products!

Review of Bodeans BBQ

finger food at its best
This is the perfect place to visit if you're in need of some comfort food. With its hustling atmosphere and benches for sharing, you know you're in for a simple meal. Yet unlike restraunts with a similar theme, the vibe and food here are unrivalled. The pulled pork is divine, as are the ribs.
We went here with a large party including several children and the staff were friendly and attentive
I agree with Vlad T that the food is extremely well priced, although I think that anyone you take here will be impressed. With the friendly service, simple but fabulous food and great location it truly is a gem.

Review of Crab & Winkle
06 Feb 08, 10:46
Purely local
The Crab and Winkle sits on wooden stilts atop the fish market slap bang on the Whitstable harbour. You wouldn't know it was there except from the bizarre neon crab with a missing claw.
Appearances can be deceiving! The welcome you receive sets the tone for a wonderful dining experience.
I treated a friend to lunch and we both agreed that it was one of the best meals we've had. Favourite dishes were the artichoke soup with anchovie toast, followed by the smoked fish tasting plate. If, like me, you're a fan of desserts I'd recommend you save some room as they are truly scrummy.
All of the ingredients were sourced from local producers and it was all seasonal which I love.
The menu has a little info guide so you can see where the produce comes from and they also have a Sustainability Policy adhering to Defra guidelines.
The wine list included wines produced in Kent and as my wine knowledge isn't too extensive the waitress made some suggestions which were first rate.
We sat at the window which offers captivating and industrious views of Whitstable harbour.
One tip is to join their dining club as the food isn't cheap and they offer members some good deals; we ate two courses for £10!
I would recommend this restaurant to those interested in issues of sustainability and local produce. They don't just talk the talk, they are genuinely passionate about the impact of food production on the environment.
