Review of Bengal Berties

Better than average
Good Indian food isn't slurry floating in ghee, and this place seems to have got it almost right. I ordered a set veggie menu - all classic Anglo Indian stuff - Onion Bhaji, Mushroom Rice and a Veg Jalfrezi - for a tenner! There was way too much food, enough for two, and they serve Cobra and Kingfisher lager, although it tasted a bit like the first pint out of the barrel (I was first in on a weekday evening, having just moved to the area). There was a bit too much fat floating about for my liking, and I don't mean the waiter, who was friendly, polite and a bit of a geezer. And best of all, it's two minutes walk from my house. Very small, but doesn't seem to get busy. No parking either, apart from on the side streets off Archway. But a great place to grab a takeaway. They deliver too. Pop in for a popadum today

Review of Maoz

I agree
....With the bloke above about Maoz. The help yourself option is always a winner, and the chips are the best ever, double fried like proper Belgian jobbies. One complaint - I'd like a cup of tea and proper cutlery, please.
