Something for everyone

4*

Christine S. says:

If you are getting the train you may have to walk a bit to reach it but if your not drinking then there is loads of free parking in the evening. The Concorde is a sizeable venue with a huge variety of clubnights and bands on each month. It very atmospherec with it's dingy lighting and it's not the sort of place you would dress up too much for. But there is something for everyone music wise so a good all rounder.

Leave your posh frock at home!

5*

Robert T. says:

The Concorde 2 isn’t your posh frock and dinner jacket venue. It’s a medium sized venue which when filled to capacity (approx 560) has the best atmosphere and acoustics in Brighton (in my opinion) which make for a perfect gigging experience. The drinks are fairly priced and parking next to the venue is a doddle and free in the evening. I have been to hundreds of gigs and some of the best have been at the C2. Highly recommended!

Great

4*

Clare W. says:

I have seen many obscure and more well known bands here - it's a really great venue and very Brighton! It's a little dark and dingy but that all adds to the atmosphere. It's a great place to go during the week, but be warned that it's quite a trek on foot (not particularly pleasant in the rain!) Also, for all the girlies, there are no mirrors in the toilet, so if you're looking to impress make sure you take one with you!

What a great venue

4*

Claire C. says:

Concorde 2 is a great venue. I have been here a few times to see unknown bands - I think I have a curse cos none of them have ever gone on to musical stardom!? It's not a fun place to get to in the middle of winter - a windswept walk along the top and down some steps or along Madeira Drive. It's a shame they haven't got the lift from the top working - now that would be cool.

I love this place!

4*

Kerry H. says:

Concorde 2 is a little bit dark and a little bit mucky but that just adds to the romance of this splendid gig venue. Without meaning to sound pretentious...it's very 'Brighton' They have club nights here too such as Fat Boy's Big Beat Boutique.

It's not fantasically easy to get to on foot but that just adds to the excitement as you walk along the seafront on Madeira Drive (mind the boy-racers!) If you're the designated driver then it's no problem at all as you can park virtually outside for free in the evenings.

I've seen some amazing bands at Concorde 2 and have loved every second of being squeezed in with all the other musos, jumping around and getting a bit damp. That's what the Concorde 2 is all about. I went to Concorde 1 once as well...before it got shut down. This is the perfect replacement.

Concorde 2

4*

Mark S. says:

Both a gig and club venue, Concorde 2 thus appeals to all kinds of audiences in Brighton. Right up the end of Madeira Drive on the sea front, it is a good walk to get there, but it doesn't disappoint. Very large and long, with a huge stage, and chill out bar in front, it plays host to multitudes of nights, artists, bands and other forms of entertainment, and it is always busy if not full to capacity on the weekends. One of the largest clubs in Brighton, its definitely worth checking out.
