East Of The Water

If you want a tasty place to eat out in Bideford, with car parking nearby, pop into East of the Water Chinese restaurant. It serves tasty Thai food. Try the sweet and sour pork ... delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful.

There is a bar with reasonable prices where you can order a takeaway too. Kitty seems to be the sole chef so service isn't as quick as larger establishments but I certainly didn't have to wait too long.

The decor is colourful with kimonos hung on the wall, all adding to the feel of the oriental.

I strongly recommend booking to ensure your table.

this is a good place to go if you want good traditional english grub, nothing fancy but will fill a whole. good to go if you are taking the family as they cater for fussy eaters. prices are reasonable and would definitely recommend, parking can be a bit tricky though

this place is really a restaurant now, not a pub. or is it an art gallery? Its lost its direction and as a result never seems to have much of a trade. the food is very veryy nice, but maybe the wrong location for a really nice food. It is East the Water afterall! As for the Art , thats what gets my 4 stars.

gone totally towards food now.. i.e. a restuarant.. with food i have never heard of and very expensive. Not somewhere i would like as too fancy emnu rather than good olde wholesome British food
