The only reason I'd give this a four out of five would be for the "we don't sell popcorn" thing. My view of cinema is usually vastly reliant on how well the popcorn is.
In all honesty though, I couldn't rate it a four because the experience you get from sitting back in their rediculously cumfortable and large chairs, watching a movie of choice with a tub of something yummy, well you just don't get that anywhere else. The experience that is. To top it off they have the bed style sofa's in the back for I believe a extra fee.
The quality of sound and picture are outstanding, the space feels welcoming and once again the sound isn't making me feel like I've been deaf the whole of my life. I walk out of the cinema without a headache which is a remarkable feat. for me.
The electric deserves it's reputation of granderu simply because it's worked towards that and achieves it quite gracefully.
Popcorn would make this a six, if only.

I remember when I first moved to London from the provinces The Electric was considered a cool hangout. And it's still an awful lot of fun. I'm surprised more people haven't copied the idea. Cinema going is certainly a great deal more comfortable here than in your local UGC where you have to snuggle up to the sinister stranger next to you and suffer the chewing gum decorated nylon seats. Here, you can have wine and food, relax in an enormous chair (or sofa if this is date number 3?) and really concentrate on the film. It goes without saying that UGC is a bargain in comparison. But can you put a price on art appreciation
