Embankment

Clint F. says:
Well I work at this station and Embankment is deffinately the place to head to in the evenings. With bars, retaurants, clubs and tours right from outside the station its got something for everyone.
Take a walk up Villiers Street, have a drink in the Theadore Bullfrog and then go a see a show on The Strand.

The Thames is the lifeblood of London, and this station is ideal for heading off for a nice walk to see all of the 'famous' bits around Westminster.

Could do with a lick of paint, right on the river front this is a superb location with The Strand, London Eye and The River Boat Piers right in front of you as you come out.
A lot quieter than Westminster, and on a sunny day its great to take a walk and see whats going on.
Served by the Bakerloo, Northern, Circle and District lines you're just minutes away from the rest of londons top attractions.

This isn't as busy as you might expect, but it's a good tube station to come out of if you want to get the sights of the river.
You'll also get the best views if you walk down to Westminster from here and see the houses of parliament and Big Ben etc.

Right on the edge of the river, Embankment is a great stop on the tube if you fancy a wander along the river of an evening - which I have been known to do on occasions! It's not really a busy stop so I've never had a problem getting on/off here. Apparantly the station was also featured in the film Sliding Doors!
