Nice Building-Shoddy Trains

3*

Darren H. says:

The Circle and Hammersmith & City Lines pass through here, both use old shabby trains, dirty, and graffeties, which I could use to describve the whole station really.

it has good links however to St Pancras International though the Thameslink service that also runs though here. You can also get to Bedford, Luton and Brighton from this station.

No I don't want a free paper

2*

Craig R. says:

This is one of the few places where I've nearly lost my rag as there is a tendency to bottleneck even in non peak hour times. This wasn't so much a design fault but the fact that the free papers would clogging up the outside, handing out free papers meaning nobody could get past.

It's a tube station and an enigma in one

4*

Phil B. says:

The tube station part is fine, far too likely to bottle neck at rush hours but then what do you expect? The general feeling of getting out in a gutted, rebuilt Victorian shed is pleasant enough. The staff are helpful, especially to the pissed.

The most striking thing about this station is the little garden outside the maintainence shed at one end of the station (you can see it as you arrive from the East). It has flower beds and the word 'Farringdon' in amaturish reflective letters - its clearly not part of the official Tube branding and is really rather sweet. Bored station staff I salute you.

Now, where's my Kudos?

It is AS EXPECTED! Hence 3 stars

Camila O. says:

I pay a lot for my travel - London aint cheap!! And for that I expect trains to be on time, no overcrowding and generally no delays to my service..well as you would expect this is never the case. And Farringdon train station is no exception. Yes there are many lines which go through this station which is always a bonus as you have more choices. However, why o why are there so many vendors outside this station? They literally shove things in your face in every direction you go!!! ARGH..... "No I am not interested... I do this everyday and work here so leave me alone". This seriously annoys me as it makes me those 3 minutes late to work as I try to dodge those offering newspapers, streetcar and other advertising material!
