Hangover Heaven

5*

E P. says:

A bacon and Egg bagel on sesame bagel, with cheese if you feel extra minging, from this place and you'll be ready to take on the world. Well almost - you may still feel like pants but at least you will have started the day with some good solid stodge, served by bemused staff. I'd never eat in there - i prefer to crawl back to work and hide under my desk until the bagel magic kicks in. It's all formica and tourist tackiness, but with a certain charm - i hope it never changes!

little Italy on Leicester Square

4*

Christine M. says:

You can’t miss the Café/Bar/Restaurant/Doner/Pizza/Pasta takeaway place on the corner of Leicester Square. We go there quite regularly to get a pasta take out during our lunch breaks at work, They have a great choice of sandwiches, paninis, kebabs and pizzas. I can highly recommend the pasta, for £3,50 you can’t get anything better for that money around Leicester Square. I’d stay clear off the fry-ups though, they look well greasy from what I have seen!

Dodgy cafe with some old school charm

3*

Myles A. says:

Wedged into the corner of Leicester Square and Charring Cross makes it difficult to describe this old school Italian cafe as charming but somehow it is.

With chains cinemas, cafes and restaurants in abundance in the area there is nothing chainy about Fiori. Then again it's hard to franchise worn formica, greasy food and grumpy service. It doesn't work everywhere but here it does.

Fiori is my number 1 spot for a hangover-quashing bacon & egg bagel. The coffee's not bad but the 80's soundtrack makes the outside seating preferable to inside.

For all it's faults, places like Fiori should be championed as they give a soulless area some unique personality & charm.

Fab Fiori!

5*

Ash M. says:

Best hangover breakfast bagels bar none... ask for the bacon, egg, melted cheese on a sesame seed bagel and you wont ever go anywhere ever again! Lunchtime is great too - as the girls say, great pasta and toasties. Even the kebabs are great too.

Don't be put off by being in the corner of Leicester Square - it's far and above the best place to get some good, solid stodge.

Kebab and anything else you can think of

5*

Nina S. says:

Thanks Mobile-Marina. The staff at Fiori's and I are still trying to forget about that one.

However, Fiori's is great. On first glance most people (and tourists who probably make up most of their passing business due to location) probably think this is only a pizza and kebab shop but there is so much more to it.

The sandwiches, bagels are made to order and the pasta is gorgeous (and at £3.95 a real bargain) and portions are massive.

Also, if you have a sweet tooth, try one of the gorgeous homemade continental cakes from the chiller next to the till!

Chilli & Cheese

5*

Anne-marina D. says:

One of my favourite lunch spots full stop. Simple food, but well brought together - the Mozeralla and Chilli Penne pasta is out of this world. Total cheese overload but in the best possible way. Not too expensive either. Even better, it's open around the clock!

Favourite Fiori moment? One I wasn't there to see sadly... Nina walking in in the middle of the night and announcing to the restaurant "We come in the day!"
