Excellent nosh

4*

Ash M. says:

Really lovely food and spot on location - great value, bit scruffy but worth it. Can be a bit brisk, but it more than makes up for this in the quality of the service.

Basic Japanese at basic prices

3*

Claire C. says:

The seating and decor is basic here - small stools and hard benches don't encourage you to linger; but huge bowls of warming noodles, or slickly prepared sushi are the draw.

There are no real surprises on the menu here, but what you get is beautifully presented, fresh and tasty.

Service can be a bit brusque, but their delivery service is excellent and they regularly deliver within half an hour of receiving the order.

Don't expect luxury

3*

Rob M. says:

This is a cheap and cheerful Japanese restaurant that is never a letdown.

You are usually squeezed in next to complete strangers, but the food is of top quality - they also do take-away, which is great!

Box clever

3*

Debby S. says:

Brixton isn't over-run with great eateries, but this Japanese is one of the best. It's always busy, so expect to share the bench-style seating with other diners. Noodle dishes are legenary and the bento boxes are absolutely huge and delicious - go with a big appetite.
