The Garden House is suprisingly non city like inside. It provides a cosy atmosphere, with real log fires in the winter and a beer garden for those warm summer nights. Service at the bar can be a bit slow, but the food is reasonable and tasty and its a good place to go if you fancy a chat and quiet drink just on the outskirts of the city centre

As the sun's come out recently, Garden House will have done great business as their beer garden is huge. Loads of tables and chairs and benches etc, and if the wind gets up (this is birmingham after all) you have control over your own heating. Genius.
Prices are average, but the food's pretty good - well worth a visit. In the winter, the inside is also really cosy.

Situated opposite the Thistle Hotel on Hagley road the Garden House is not somewhere you'd think would have an amazing tranquil beer garden behind it but... it does!! The beer garden is quiet and has plenty of seating so even on a really hot day you should be able to find somewhere to pirch. The food, sadly, is pretty ordinary and for what you get it seemed expensive, which is why I gave it 4 stars.

Do it... Do it... ... Do It!
This is a spacious pub, really good bar service, real ales and a huge beer garden
Any fan of the summer in general would come here for a drink of an evening

Large, quality pub on Hagley Road.
Nice quality feel inside with a decent amount of tables at the back in the 'garden' (which is mostly a car park!).
Food is great quality - with prices to match. The pie is especially good! Be prepared to wait though - especially during peak times like Sunday lunch. Fast food it ain't!
Good selection of real ales with some randoms which is always good.
