Straight

4*

Andrew H. says:

Now I'm a straight guy and was kinda intimidated to go in to start with, however, when you get in you'll realise that it cranks out some quality tunes, Duran Duran, Rose Royce and Gloria Gaynor all take me back to my glory days of the mid 80's.

Even if you're not gay you'll enjoy a great night out.

Cheap Drinks but thats about it..

3*

Callum G. says:

Well if you're after a cheap night out, then head here where drink offers are everywhere during the week.

The sound system is appauling and way too loud, eliminating any actual atmosphere for the place.

The odd previous occation they do get it right, it's friendly and lively, but the nights are so hit and miss now.

Has been a great place, but really needs work to get back to the place it once was

Come on GAY Bar, sort it out!!

Rubbish...

1*

Joel S. says:

... This place is always packed. And it is packed for one reason alone in that they have good drinks offers and cheap drinks. It therefore pulls in a young gay crowd who don't have a lot of cash.

The problem is that it fails the gay community in every other way - they don't appear to have spent a penny on the place since it opened, it needs a good clean and the music is all over the place.

Spend some money guys - the decor is so dated now it is embarassing.

Boozey

Talia K. says:

A really big bar on Old Compton Street. It's run by a big company and so can get you good drink offers but the music is pretty hit and miss and it doesn't really have much soul.

As I say drink prices are very good but if you want a gay bar with nice people inside it I'd head to Trash Palace.
