I remember this place before its major refurb, and they have improved it so much. Very nice surroundings, very nice food too. Its also large so you can usually get hold of a table. I would prefer to go to a more old fashioned type of pub, but it does what it does very well.

Situated in Braunton, the largest village in Britain, indeed. Varied menus through the year to follow the seasons, good accommodation. Live music regularly.
Close distance to North Devon Beaches

this place is now spilling out onto the streets in braunton. they do excellent food and have a very good reputation they also have accommodation, so if you are stuck, you can always get a room here. parking can be a problem, they do have there own carpark but it fills up quickly

I Love The George, and it has had a lot spent on renovating it over the last few years. It's a very old building which has a lot of history, in a great location. A huge bar area, large TV, Hotel rooms upstairs, food and Terry is in there on Sundays with karaoke! John and Jackie, the owners, are legends!

The George is quite an impressive building right in the middle of Braunton, but despite its size there never seems to be quite enough room. Always busy, especially in the summer.
