Been here at the weekends and the place was so lively! Great music, great dancing. Everyone was really friendly too which made the evening much more enjoyable. Also been on a Thursday and the place is really busy from really early. Get a few Brahmas in, or a mojito, take part in the samba class, watch the capoeira display and dance or talk the night away. Shame about the massive queues for the ladies though!

I went to this for a hen night and it was a brazillian festival where you had to wear red. It's a fantastic atmosphere and a nice bunch of people, Meheto's to die for. Food not that brilliant but not a bad price £10 for a platter and you get waitress service and a table for the night. Get there early at the weekend and it's free to get in, if you get there after 9pm you'll be queing for ages.

Love, love, love this place! Drinks can be very pricy, but seriously strong, all free-pour action going on! Astmosphere is great, great music - the live band is fantastic. Gets really busy, and you have to pay if you get there after a certain time on Saturdays I think, maybe after 8pm. Don't go if you haven't got your dancing shoes on!!!

Went to Guanabara for my birthday on a Friday night and had a brilliant time - mainly because I had been tipped off beforehand to a) get there as soon as it opened to avoid the queues and b) make the most of happy hour from 5-7 pm. With fresh made mojitos £3 and house wine £8 a bottle, stockpiling is the way to go! The DJ was ok but the live band were utterly brilliant - lots of sweaty dancing to beguiling beats. Some advice: for a long evening, book a table in advance - otherwise you have to stand, eat food off the bar and generally not get to sit down! Also - this is no joke - there is a queue of at least 1 hour after 8pm. Many of my friends didn't make it, much to my disappointment, because of this fact. So get there early, stockpile the drinks and dance the night away!

This is a great Brazilian club. It's a big club, centered around a large dance floor. The early evening live music is unmissable, and the club nights play infectious samba and Brazilian drum and bass. Drink a few caipirinhas and dance the night away, I promise you'll enjoy it.
