I've never been impressed with this restaurant. They have an unerring ability to get orders wrong and I really can cook better Chinese at home. On the few occasions that I've eaten at this restaurant, I've always felt that I'd have done better with a ready meal.
I know that's not the point and they're largely responsible for keeping the nearby UCL students in MSG and so I suppose they serve some purpose.
I just shake my head in disbelief every time I walk past and see a queue snaking into the New Brunswick Centre.

I really couldn't agree more with the other reviewers on here- I just went here for lunch and it was worth the (10 minute) wait to get in. You can see why this place is so busy at lunchtimes- it's quick, it's cheap, and the food is very tasty. The broad menu is also impressive- it dips into Chinese, Japanese, and Thai cuisine.
The vegetable lo mein stood out as particularly good, prawn and vegetable tempura was light and crispy, exactly the way it should be, and sushi was quick and fresh. The portions are all enormous and I would wager that hard-up students could even share servings!
I have heard less-than-glowing reviews about the Putney branch but this new sleek Brunswick Centre branch ticked all the right boxes for me. Definitely worth a lunchtime or pre- Renoir cinema visit.

Hare and Tortoise is a rather hot-spot (especially during the lunch hours and evenings) for just about anyone in the area or who's in the mood for some oriental meals. The prices are rather cheap (compared to the equal at Wagamama's) and you get huge portions. It's near impossible to leave the place without having cured that annoying hunger.
The menu itself can be rather interesting to look at - there are many choices to jump into. There is some sushi; but I haven't had any of it personally. I haven't had problems out of any of the stuff I've eaten so far (just a hint - the singaporean rice noodles and the katsu [rice] are awesome). The Singapore Rice Noodles come with beef, chicken, and prawn - all wonderfully seasoned and the egg they mix in it is nearly addictive. I've had one of their plum drinks - it was a little weird since it had an actual plum in the glass; though, on the other hand, it added a more fruity (less alcoholic) taste to it.
If you're ever near the Brunswick Centre and have a hankering for a large lunch/dinner at a lower price than most routine oriental shops - this is the place to pop into.

Just another restaurant thats popular amongst university student. Just opposite the Halls in Russell Square, good size and very affordable.
Love the Katsu Curry as they have all the "extras ingredients" such as Potatoes and Carrots to go with it rather then just curry sauce, like how Wagamama does.
They also do malaysian and Thai food, now I think they have a mini sushi place where you can order sushi, however, that doesnt look as appetising as the main stream main course.
