Hot Rocks

Just drinks in here make for a good night, as the location sells it, its right by the pier and some great people watching happens here. The food is lovely, its italian dishes and the pizzas are always a good choice, plus you can add your own toppings if you 're fussy. Its certainly a popular place with weekends getting really busy.

Food has always been good in here and the location is excellent. Can get busy but they have always been very accommodating for the kids and good selection too!

The best bit about Hot Rocks has to be the location - right on the beach, how can you beat that?! There's something really nice about being able to tuck into your dinner whilst looking out over the beach at the sea. The food is pretty good too - they do all the burgers and steak that you'd expect from this surfy-type restaurant - it seemingly works because it's always busy!

This place really does have an incredible view, if only the same could be said about the food! I found it no better than you could get at any other tacky American dinner, the only difference is that this place charge you double for the experiance!

Sitting outside on the terrect of Hot Rocks as the fireworks go off over the pier with an ice cold beer - you can't beat it!

They do fantastic burgers and steaks, (I even tried shark here once). Great for a meal with mates in a fun atmosphere.

Hot Rocks probably has the best location of all being right on the beachfront so you can't beat the views. I love the food in here because it's all steaks, chicken, chips with dips etc. You get a real beachy, surfy, summer feel in there at all times of the year.

if tourists knew where else you could go when they come off the beach!! It so busy in the summer as everyone flocks there but would be great if a little calmer! Still go there in the winter but not quite the same atmosphere

great place to grab a cocktail and watch the sea. very funky and tredny place always really busy. do some really funky cocktails and staff are really friendly. have never eaten there but the menu does look really nice. nice for a night out or a daily pit stop for food or drink.

Unfortunatley this year there will be no fireworks as the council cant find a sponsor or something. However this is a great place to take your family for a spot to eat. Tends to be more kids in the day than the night.Must agree with the last review the steaks are great.

Hot Rocks Cafe has one of the best locations in Bournemouth especially in the summer months. It is located by the pier and if you sit at the seating area outside or on the upper terrace you have a fantastic view of the sea and everything going on around! The food they serve is of good quality and reasonable prices. I generally have a juicy steak with jacket potato and salad and thoroughly enjoy it. They serve the usual Ribs, Burgers and Platters to share along side light bites, delicious puddings and side orders. Its great for families in the early evening - children's meals are available - but it does get busier towards 7pm ish when they then start to cater for the groups/couples. They often have Children's attractions such as a Carousel near by and from July - September a firework display is launched from a boat in the sea on a Friday night. All in all its a great place to eat, with excellent atmosphere, friendly staff and reasonable prices.
