Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen, is a quirky little venue, with a large long bar space with ample seating at one end. For the music lovers HSB&K has tucked around a corner a huge square shaped Gig Venue complete with stage. Great for a night out watching a mates band.
The Decour is modern with a very oaky dark finish to everything with low light which sets a good mood for the midnight hours. The beer is pretty average though with almost no distinction between the brands of Lager & Bitter (Seemed like everything tasted the same) The staff are normal and look abit stressed due to the high demand and 3 deep punters all along the bar area.
Busy with a trendy edge.

Quite an alright venue as it is a big place and a perfect place to loose your friends. On a Friday they play some great tunes that one normally doesn't hear when out. So annoying though that you cannot take your drinks out when going for a smoke, so finish it before you head out as otherwise it will get stolen.

I think this is London's worst gig venue. The place itself is fine but it's the terrible people that frequent it that's the problem. No matter who plays, it is always full of idiots.
The gig space is in a large square room with a big bar. Outside that there is a room with a very long bar and a food section but I've not eaten there.

This place has fantastic events and promotional teams so they always seem to have the latest up and coming bands playing as well as a whole host of celebs popping their heads in. Its good if your into the whole Hoxton thing.
I would recommend this place as a venue and the food is good quality but the bar does smell slightly of sick and on the weekend the people who go there are less than nice. this unfortunately has a bad affect on the staff who are extremely rude during that time, but do we blame them.
Its a shame as this place could be great. It's part of Bar Works who also own The Diner down the road and Two Floors in Soho, both I would say are much nicer places.

I probably woudn't mind this place on another night of the week but Saturday night.. no way!
It's dead in the middle of Hoxton.. and lets face it - Hoxton isn't what it used to be. The scenesters have migrated out to Brick Lane / Hackney / Stokey long ago. Instead its filled with people who come from out of town and don't know better... Or those that just haven't realised there are better bars just a bit further East.
The drinks were pricey, service was average and when I finally did migrate to the dance floor the music was so bad I left within 15 minutes.
Next time someone suggests this as a venue, I'll be making sure we go to an alternative (rather than keeping the peace)

Bit dull and dark, no atmosphere. Expensive and average-tasting beer.
