This place truly is a hidden gem, slightly off the main drag of Lordship Lane's cafes, boutiques and baby shops. I had the most amazing breakfast here with quite simply the best scrambled eggs I have ever had in London. £5.95 for smoked salmon, eggs, toast, fresh juice and a hot drink. I think that's probably the priciest thing on the menu. Their lunchtime menu seems quite reasonably priced - goats cheese tarts, chorizo ciabatta, that kind of thing. Plus a variety of fresh produce for sale.
A lovely place with a small outside seating area, plus plenty to keep the kids amused.

An oasis of good fresh and freshly cooked food at distinctly non Dulwich prices. The staff manage to be both effidient and friendly and they positively welcome small children (accompanied, of course), unlike nearby establishments. Totally unpretentious.

This café is tucked away on the outer edges of the East Duwich mainstream. The food is great quality and fresh tasting, with a warm friendly service. Good falafel is hard to find in south london, and the falafel baguette is one the highlights that draws me back for more. My wife is a regular here, because it is friendly and intimate, a great place to catch up with friends over some tasty treats. It can be quite cramped if its busy, but the garden is open during the warmer months.
