Never knowingly undersold

4*

Jossie B. says:

I love John Lewis, the customer service and returns section is still renowned for its excellent service, and wedding lists are perfect here. The kitchen section sells everything and the Tefal Quickcup i got was cheaper here than in tesco.

John Lewis really does do quality well and live and breathe by their tag line "never knowingly undersold". They have a great range of everything you could possibly ever need. Including mini top hats with veils (they sound awful but are just the quirkiest accessory to wear to a wedding rather than a full on hat). Please open one in Brighton!

Great for service

4*

Joel S. says:

All of my experiences of John Lewis have been good - with great service in a traditional old fashioned way. It is a definite favorite with Mum's

It is not great for anything like clothing, fashion etc, but for anything electrical where you need good customer service, guarantees and reliable deliveries then it is the place to go.

Poor service from computer dept

1*

Dan L. says:

I bought a monitor at a sale price because it was a display model. When I got it home, it didn't work. I took it back to John Lewis, who said they'd repair it. 6 weeks later I hadn't heard from them, so I went in to ask about it. After much waiting, it turned out my monitor was still sitting in the stock room and hadn't even been sent for repair. I then had to wait several more weeks for it to be fixed. Annoying. Disclaimer: This happened a couple of years ago, but it's put me off going back.

Department store

4*

Ashley F. says:

John Lewis sells everything - sports equipment, luggage, jewelery, perfume, make up, clothes, tvs...and loads more. It's a definite favourite with mums (my mum at least anyway) and products are good quality.
