WATCH OUT

1*

John S. says:

Went in today, waitress delivered a very greasy underdone bacon sandwich (I ordered a well done one without butter). Then I watched the owner rip off a large group by adding to their bill. Then I got charged more than I had to pay for the same order three days ago! On the whole I feel a bit peaved. So make sure you check your bill or you may find that there is an annoying small surcharge.

Home from Home

5*

Alan K. says:

Much more than you would expect from a greasy spoon - it is clean, great food, well priced and the service is better than anywhere else. Free tea top ups with everything. Could eat breakfast and lunch here everyday (and sometimes do!).

Fresh fish on Fridays.

There is just no comparison to Tom's, which is like eating in a Turkish Bazaar! (the noise).

At Tom's everything is in multiples of £1, just depends on how he is feeling.

(I take it that the Islam chat is at Tom's because it certainly wouldn't be with Rose!)

Lots more tables have been added over the past few months as well which has always been the major problem.

Anyway, it is nearly lunch time so off for the liver, bacon and mashed potatoes & gravy!

Solid food

4*

Andy B. says:

Well-organised, clean cafe with tasty food. Run by the owners, a friendly Turkish couple. The lasagne or the breakfast is especially recommended.

Slightly more expensive than its great rival Tom's Parma Cafe but at least 50% less greasy. However, Tom's has the advantage of being over 50% closer to the office, which is why the where-to-lunch decision so often hangs in the balance.

Note: If you let the management know you've converted to Islam, you entering a whole world of chat.
