What an excellent night out! There's not many places to go in Brighton for the older of the young generation, and therefore this is a gem!! A great venue with really nice staff, and the security are so on it that u feels safe and any annoying heckler's are delt with accordingly. i Might even make it a weekly thing now!

I've been to the Komedia so many times for different events... from the Krater Comedy Club, to Brighton Festival events, to Stick It On... and never failed to have fun.
It's a great little venue with bags of charm. Also good for watching bands.
The only slight criticism... at the New Year's Eve Stick It On event, there weren't enough bar staff on, and it took a fair while to get a drink.

I love love love Komedia especially on a Sunday. 3 great acts for a fiver i don't think you can beat that really! Plus a lovely bar and a sweet coffee shop above, this place is a winner. The only thing i would say is that the food is a little too pricey!!!

As with all comedy venues, this place really depends on the night.
Venue wise, it is one of the better ones, with plenty of seating in quite a small area. This gives it a more intimate feel as you can interact more with the acts.
The food isn't great - most of it is of the 'in a basket' variety but the beer is good, with jugs available for the thirsty ones out there!
A great place to go if you've a group of friends visiting.

Komedia is a great venue for many reasons. The main reason though, is because it has so many good gigs there, you could pretty much keep yourself interested all year round. It's not just comedy, they have a great list of artists that you can get up close and personal with. It holds a couple of hundred, so it's nice an intimate, but a great enviroment.

Don't be fooled in thinking that Komedia is all about Comedy. This vibrant Brighton venue has something to offer everyone - even those who love to kroon to the oldees. Dress up and go out dancing, once a month at this special night, feather bhoas and all.The Kroone Kat Lounge is a must for anyone who loves their blues jazz and old fashioned Sinatra esque tunes.

'The' comedy venue in Brighton...definitely one of my favourite things to do with mates of a weekend. I've been countless times and have always had a brilliant night.
The Krater Comedy Club at Komedia never fails to impress with it's line-up of talent. The regular compere Stephen Grant is rock solid and holds the whole thing together seamlessly. His comedy can be a little Brighton-centric but what do you expect from a Brighton based comedy club? He's damn funny so you'll love him even if you're not from these parts.
I've seen a few bands upstairs in Komedia too...the perfect intimate venue to get up close and personal with the artists (not like that you mucky pup). My favourite gig was British Sea Power a few months ago. I've seen them a few times in the past year but they seemed really at home at Komedia...just brilliant.
The food can be a little on the basic side and it can take a while to get served at the bar but push all this aside because it really is a small negative compared to the fantastic entertainment on offer.

Been twice now. The comedy is second to non. The beer is good. And now the food. ,.......My recomendation... Eat before you go. If you have to eat there, have the natcho's and dips, but that's it.

I really recommend going to see The Treason Show at Komedia. It's a sketch comedy show at the beginning of the month, based on what's happened in the last month. If you have a keen interested in current affairs you'll love it. They perform some hilarious songs and always seem to get their kit off at some point!?

One of three in the country, and undoubtedly one of the most famous, Komedia is always going to be a great night out. With stand-up comedy nights 3 times a week with the Krater Comedy Club, plus famous and up-and-coming musical and theatrical acts, it is always bustling with whats new and great in arts culture. Its always good to book in advance though, because tickets sell out quick because of its popularity.
