Most expensive vodka ever

1*

David M. says:

Well, it probably isn't, but it's the most expensive I have ever bought. I went here on recommendation from some Porcupine Tree fans and to be fair, it is very nice inside. That said, the food isn't amazing and nor are the drinks. A double vodka and coke cost me £6 which is the most I have ever paid for a vodka and coke.

I was also unimpressed by the food. It was served quickly but that's because the chicken was cold (it didn't say this in the menu) and it wasn't all that great.

Don't bother going here. I recommend The Oxford instead which does decent pub food and has fairer prices - it's just up the road too (face Kro Bar, and head right on the same side of the road as Kro, by the junction).

KRO BAR

4*

Simon T. says:

Located right in the Manchester city, it serves some really good meals and also has a fantastic outdoors sitting area which is very well lit up and the lamps are quit warm as well. Drinks are quite cheap and the atmosphere tends to be lively as the crowd is mainly university students and young professionals.

Meeting Place

4*

Thom C. says:

Situated opposite the University of Manchester, Kro Bar offers a classy venue for a couple of drinks at the start of a night out. If the busy downstairs bar doesn't appeal, then there is more space available in the upstairs rooms, and a quiet beer garden situated around the back. A good meeting place for the start of a big night out.

Kro-Bleurgh

1*

Sorrell W. says:

I have visited various different Kro Bars across Manchester and I have always come across problems. Firstly, the prices are too high for both drinks and food. Once when I visited a Kro I asked what would be the quickest food to order as I didn't have much time to eat before work. I ordered the burritoes and 45 minutes later they had not arrived. I asked 3 times and was obviously avoided by waiters as they did not know where my food was. I left withouy eating. Recently we had a buffet in central Kro bar for my friends birthday and it was £18.50 a head! Extortionate considering the finger food we recieved. Not somewhere to go if you prize your pennies.
