Night and day is a lovelly place but it would truly benefit from a good scrub! Saying that, if you are into your live music then this place is a must! Good beer and good music.

If you're in a band you will love Night and Day.
If you want to sleep with dirty musicians you will love Night and Day.
If you just want to enjoy a pint with friends, you'd better have the right "ironic" t-shirt otherwise there's a possibility you won't evern get served.
Here are 3 phrases that will come in handy for your next visit to Night and Day.
1. "Yeah, they're all right but they're no Paris Angels"
2. "I'm not sure if Nigel's got the mix exactly right!"
3. Man, I'm buzzin' off the Frank Zappa influence".
I'm not cool.....which is why Night and Day bugs me!

Night and Day on Oldham Street is one of the best live venues on Manchester. Places like Night and Day are on every street corner in north London but in Manchester they are a dieing breed. That said the place interior isn't that nice. A little dingy and grotty round the edges mean that most people come here to see bands rather than to drink. The beer is reasonable and the staff are friendly to be around. For all its faults it still worth taking a look to see the next potential big bands.

While Night and Day is best known as a live music venue, attracting the best young bands from around the country, it also rightly prides itself on an excellent daytime food menu. Diners can relax in a rock and roll atmosphere, with dim lights and posters covering the wall, while enjoying snacks such as nachos and sandwiches. The cafe might not be the cheapest eaterie in Manchester, but it is certainly a good place to relax and soak in the atmosphere.
