Orao Hair Studio

Like a few others on here i went to Orao based of the reviews i had read and i wasn't disappointed!

Having just moved to South London i had no idea where to start with finding a good hairstylist without paying a vast amount for some of the big brand hairdressers. Anyway, Orao definitely met all my needs and more. It's only a short walk from the tube, has an excellent team of professional stylists and offers wine and nibbles - what more could you ask for! Oh yes! It's also really reasonably priced and having had a cut a colour with Niko twice now, i'm really delighted with my hair and booked to back for my 10% discount.

I went to Orao yesterday on the strength of these reviews and the website, which is very chic and modern. However, the salon is not really what I expected, it's not very modern and I didn't even get a cup of tea never mind the free snacks they advertised. It was very quiet even though they told me they were full and only just squeezed me in. I like my cut very much and the stylist Maria was really knowledgable and listened to what I said, but I'm not sure I'd go back again, it was too much of a disappointment from what was advertised.

I booked an appointment at Orao on the back of the reviews I read here. I was lucky to get a last minute slot with Carla for half-head of foils and a cut.

I have been flitting from one stylist to the next since leaving my regular hairdresser over 2 years ago.

Carla did an excellent job, both cut and colour. She got the foils in on record time and the cut was done just as I had asked.

I am really, really pleased with my hair. Carla was really lovely and did a fantastic job. I will be going back for a trim in 6 weeks, the best bit is loyalaty is rewarded with a 10% disccount if you book your next appointment on the day.

I cannot praise enough Orao staff for all the effort and extra length they went to make my hair look beautiful for my wedding day. I was reccomended to Ivana and Liliana, the head stylists through a long time friend who warmly reccomended them as somebody who are very reliable, modern and yet affordable. I met up with them and had a consultation about what kind of hair style I would like and what would suit the dress that I had already bought at the time and we agreed to add blonde hair extensions to melt into my hair and make loose curles with some tender rose ornaments to make it romantic. i did not want to wear a veil although I bought one because it was July and it was warm and the dress was strapless so i wanted the long hair to be like a decoration. I cannot say how happy I was, at first everybody thought that it was my natural hair and people were complimenting on it all throughout the wedding, also it looked amazing on the pictures! Also, Ivana and Liliana were there to make sure for the last touches before the ceremony and for the photos and I felt like a princess! And for all these, services, they charged me very reasonable price! Also I was flattered that after they included the pictures of step by step process of doing my hair on their website.And the extensions lasted well into my honeymoon and swimming, and I took them off when I got fed up of lenghty drying routine! So to cut the long story short, I would reccoment Orao Hair salon and their staff to everybody especially for such a nerve wracking event as wedding!

I am not an easy-to-please customer when it comes to haircuts. I turned to Orao after my hairdresser of 7+ years moved out of London, and I couldn't be more impressed.

I have always had an unusual short hairstyle that I like to change every few months, and my old stylist was great at giving me the latest one-off cutting-edge styles that suited my features. After he moved, I spent almost a year going to many different salons and stylists in the West End, Clapham and Covent Garden - often spending as much as £60 on styles that were never quite edgy enough, or just not quite right for me.

After reading the reviews here, I thought I would give Orao a try, and I was over the moon with my first cut! Not only was the stylist able to please my particular tastes, but all the staff were super-friendly and the salon itself was lovely and clean. Liliana, my stylist, had impressive technique and gave me exactly what I wanted. Plus the price is great, and they even give you a birthday discount. I will be going again and again - I cannot recommend Orao highly enough!

I've just been introduced to Orao Hair Studio in Balham and love it. The staff are friendly, extremely competent and really work hard to understand your needs.

I've been there a few times now and it is refreshing to see there are really good privately owned salons still around - this one is by far the best i've been to. I've already recommended 3 friends, all who love them too.

Give them a go and i'm sure you'll be as satisfied as i was with my restyle.

An absolutely excellent and innovative service, and super styling and customer care. I always enjoy going to get my hair done!

The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff extremely competent and up-to-date, with imaginative ideas for new hair dos.

Ivana, the manger, always cuts and styles my hair and she is friendly and super at making my mop look splendid.

They have a really good loyalty scheme too, and really know their customers.

I found them through a personal recommendation and I myself recommended a friend, who has returned to Orao a number of times.
