Oriental heaven

5*

Kunaal S. says:

This place is amazing. The breakdown is a massive shopping mall which features many shops and some restaurants all Oriental in theme. It also has Oriental health features such as herbal medicine outlets, acupuncture and natural healing services, as well as health&beauty offerings. There are two large chinese restaurants, one being the buffet upstairs and the other being the normal sit-down type Chinese downstairs. In addition to this, there is a massive Oriental supermarket selling things you can and cannot find in your local Sainsburies (i mean when did you see an Octopus in the freezer section as your local???!!) But this is nothing compared to its main attraction. The Food Hall. It features every type of Oriental cuisine imaginable and the food is exquisite; Chinese, Japanese, Sushi, Singaporean, Malaysian, Thai, Vietnamese and Philippino cuisine is on offer. You can eat for just under or just over a fiver, and the food is nothing less than brilliant. They also have novelty outlets such as a Dim-Sun house and a wonderful place dedicated to fresh fruit juices and slush-puppy type drinks. A brilliant place to spend lunch-time, often filled to the brim with business-men/women on the weekdays and families during the weekends. A word of warning, i haven't been here too many times for dinner but I hear the quality of the food is not as good later on in the day, perhaps due to the fact that they are less willing to make dishes from fresh as they know there is less demand. Trust me though, this is one place you just cannot ignore!

Lastly there is also a vibrant but ageing SEGA megadrome arcade in the back of the mall, it is massive but seems really out -of-date today than it did about 10 years ago, it's expensive too. Still, if you fancy some old school Sega Rally or TimeCrisis then check it out.
