We love going here for meals, the children love it in the winter and in the summer as they can look out at the sea and over to the Island and they are always happy. If the weather is warm, we sit in the garden and the children love the beach and they can play to their hearts content until their meal is ready.
We also like that we can take the dog into the garden and she loves going and also in the winter, we can sit inside by the main door with her is we have just had a beach walk and need a drink - their hot chocolate is lovely!!!!
If we ask them where they want to go to eat its always the osbourne view. The staff are friendly, the foods is cooked to order and the menu suits all tastes, young or old and the favorites all have a 1/2 portion option which is ideal for the children who feel grown up at choosing from the adults menu not froma childs menu!
I also like going with friends as the atmosphere is so nice.( Their Pimms is excellent on a hot day).

A brilliant pub/restaurant on the beach, overlooking the Solent. The Osborne View is a lovely place to either eat, meet friends to drink and chat. It is nicely decorated and very clean. The food is great and very reasonable, it is a lovely place to take friends and family who are new to the area. They have a lovely patio area and large garden with lots of seating - perfect for dining al fresco. The Sunday lunch is wonderful - no overloaded plates of soggy veg and spuds here! Try the Lamb it is gorgeous! Oh, forgot to mention - the puds are wicked and the wine list is good!

This is the best pub ever in the summer as the huge beer garden which goes from the pub all the way down to the beach. Good food all year round and even in the winter when its freezing its nice views in the warm pub! Great for families, couples and groups.

This pub sits overlooking the Solent at Hill Head. You get a great view out over to the Isle of Wight that is especially good during Cowes week or when the large liners are leaving Southampton. In summer there's also a beer garden down by the seashore.
It sells badgers ales whcih I'd recommend, and also has good quality food. If you're planning to eat there though I'd advise reserving a table as it gets pretty busy.
