Butchers row, what a place. The businesses here are really great with all the local produce on show! This fish shop is all on show and you can tell the produce has just been caught and you can guarantee its been caught off our coast! The smell down butchers row goes from the bakers smell to the fishy smell, heaven for the barnstaple housewife!!

What a variety of fish, I don't usually like these places, but this one is exceptional, very clean and very fresh fish. Just like in the good old days, you can see it's a fish and it tastes like one.

I just love the whole experience of going here to get my fish. this is how fish should be sold. not pre packed in a polystyrene tray and wrapped in clingfilm. as long as we can support these local people tradition will carry on
