Amazing burgers!

4*

Rik L. says:

I went here not only based on the great reviews, but because I love burgers. I'm a big burger fan, and when the restaurant has an accolade of Best Burger in London, I just had to try it.

Usually I wouldn't go for the most expensive thing on the menu (mainly because I'm tight), but I thought I'd go crazy and try the 10oz Kobe Beef burger, and I'm so glad I did. It was indeed the best burger that I've had in London, and the best burger I've had anywhere else in fact. An absolutely amazing burger. Really juicy, succulent and the taste was delicious.

On the very slight down side, and these are just minor criticisms, I have had better chips before (even at Fine Burger Co) and tastier milkshakes. That's definitely not to say that the chips and milkshakes were bad, they were very good, but I've had better.

If you're looking for a good burger or just a great American restaurant, then it's definitely worth the trek out to Crouch End to have the best burger in London.

Best Breakfasts in London, By Far!

5*

Helen E. says:

What can I say about this place? Well, 'wow' pretty much covers it. I was totally blown away by their 'All American' Breakfast offerings. This is the best breakfast I have had in a very long time - scrap that, I think might actually be the best I have ever had!

I love American breakfasts but this had a dash of English flair. By that I mean it was cooked with English produce, and was much lighter and less greasy than the same breakfast in the USA (trust me I have been a few times).

The atmosphere is really cool, and where I was sitting I could see the chefs working. The American breakfast came with buttermilk pancakes and they too were the best that I have tasted. They offer such a great array of different breakies; from granola and yogurt to a full English - with everything American in the middle.

This is a real must if you are in the area, or if you like me and have made an almost 2 hour trek to get to it you won't be disappointed.

Yum Yum Yum!!

Miles T. says:

Wow, these guys served the best breakfast I have had in a long time!

I'd heard good things about this place, and after trekking a (very!) long way to get here - I was not disappointed. On the contrary, it was well worth the effort...

The "All-American" all day breakfast, was the best American style brekkie this side of the Atlantic. Fresh orange juice, generous portions and friendly service are included in the price, which is very reasonable.

If you happen to be within a 50 miles radius, don't hesitate to go here...

Best breakfast in town

5*

Kevin N. says:

I started going to this restaurant when it opened a few years ago and glad to say that the place keeps going from strength to strength.

Breakfasts are truly first class; be it a healthy Californian breakfast with fresh fruits & poached eggs (my girlfriends fav) or my classic, the 'all american' - eggs, streaky bacon, pancakes, bagel, and not forgetting delicious real maple syrup.

We also go in the evening for their burgers and salads, and whilst these are top notch also, the breakfast really does stand out as one of the best I've had in London.

Service is friendly and relaxed and the only problem is trying to get in for weekend brunches when the queues now go out the door.

Yanks for the Memories

4*

Benjamin G. says:

Pick More Daisies came as something of a suprise - a Californian cafe in the heart of Crouch End?

Eschewing the normal inclinations of UK american restaurants (50's diner interiors, enormo-steaks and waiters called Bud) this busy, light and modern cafe serves up all that is great about modern food in America, but doesn't shy away from the classics.

For breakfast you could opt for granola, fresh fruit, bagels & lox (smoked salmon) or go for the less healthy plates of huge tex-mex beans and eggs, fry-ups and pancakes.

The gourmet burgers looked interesting but, as a vegetarian, I had to opt-out of the 10oz Kobe Beef burger.

If you're out shopping in Crouch End its definitely worth popping in to this friendly cafe.
