Plumpton Racecourse

Racedays at Plumpton are just one of the besy days out you can have.

The excitement of the horses thundering past with a backdrop of the Sussex Downs - this has to be one of the most picturesque tracks in the Country.

The on-course facilities are good and much improved over recent years. I ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent and plenty of it.

When the sun is shing there is no other place else I'd rather be.

I recently spent a lovely afternoon here at a hospitality event and really enjoyed the venue. The food provided was great, with attentive service from the staff. I particularly liked being in the 'thick of it' - like being able to wander over to the finishing line to cheer your horse on. The atmosphere is buzzing and I can imagine that on a beautiful day it's spectacular. Just be warned to take plenty of money - to be able to place your bets without leaving your seat makes it very easy to get carried away!

I was taken out for the day to Plumpton Racecourse. Not only was I treated to lunch in hospitality (which is divine), but was given money to bet with... and ended £100 up, bonus.

However, even if you're not lucky enough to be taken there, the atmosphere in the general stands is just as fab...

...a really great day out.

Plumpton Racecourse is just divine. It's a great jump course and the surroundings are just so picturesque. You can enjoy a wonderful lunch in the members enclosure, or if you're going for a more casual day you can indulge in a good old pint and basket of chips in the less formal eating area. They do weddings here too, and I couldn't imagine a prettier place to get married.

Plumpton Racecourse is set in a beautiful enviroment in the middle of Sussex. It's a small course, but offers you a great day out, especially if the weather's nice. It may be small, but the course is very well looked after and it's great fun watching the horses walking round the paddock before the race. The team at Plumpton are a very friendly bunch and really do a great job to look after everyone and make sure people are having a great time. If you get invited to a hospitlaity day there, take it, you'll have a brilliant day out
