High Street Clothes at its best

4*

Anne P. says:

This Primark is just massive, i love it. At the top of Abington Street its a must to pop in and grab the latest bargain, the stock changes over quite quickly and if a new thing comes in thats all the go, they sell out really quickly and then there is no more. Everything is about 10 quid!

Not for me thanks!

As you'd expect - cheap a bit tacky and you're surrounded by skanky people whilst shopping. I'd only shop here if I needed some gym t-shirts or something really cheap. I don't think the clothes are quality - but I can understand why people love it if they're not bothered about style and have a small budget.

Best for bargains

3*

Michele C. says:

This is a great place if you're looking for that last minute something. Great for cheap accessories for dressing an outfit up and sometimes you can pick up items for £1 - which means one thing - buy one in every colour!!

Primark?

3*

Anna V. says:

I am still much undecided what I make of the Primark phenomena! Whilst it is clearly very cheap I sometimes wonder if you are getting value with it. I have bought a few tops that quickly shrink and loose shape when washed.

It’s great for costume jewellery though and the queue always seems to disperse very quickly which is good.

The cleanliness of the store is hit and miss though as some days you feel you are walking in to a dusty jumble sale. This can be very off putting!

You do occasionally find a real bargain though so it is worth popping in just to have a browse!

primarche for us posh people

Rebecca H. says:

It's not the biggest primark in the world but it's still the number one shop in Northampton for bargains.

It gets really busy during the day because it's very popular with the chav community who don't work - but if you go in after 9am it's really quiet and you won't have to queue.

Picked up a lovely vest top in there for 2 quid the other day - wicked!

Cheap - but be preared to wait

2*

Heidi M. says:

I like Primark a lot, but Northampton's isn't great. The one in Oxford is FAB! But the choice here always seems a bit limited as stuff goes so quickly. Plus their matching underwear is always weird... the bras seem to be made out of paper and when you're like me and need a good lot of padding (!) it's not ideal. The queues are always really long, staff miserable and security guards just seem to hang around making you feel like you're doing something naughty....

Cheap cheap

James W. says:

It looks like Matalan has some competition! When it comes to buying my pants and socks I'm going to go to the shop that rocks. That's right. It's Primark on Abington Street. Number one for pants and socks and bedding material such as cheap sheets and pillow cases. I also got jeans for £8. Clothes wise, shaggy would find it shabby....

ace!

Wendy Louise P. says:

I love primark! fair enough the jeans never fit me! just because my hips are quite big, does not mean my bum is big! however there are loads of lovely tops from day wear to going out stuff! its great for a bargin! and its not just for girls! there are guys clothing too! so no need to have your partner stood at the door waiting for you! he can shop too!

nothing ever fits

Emilyj H. says:

All the sizes are really off, its either too big or too small but who cares. Its what you pay for and with a little belt you can still make it look good. The have loads to choose from, and provided your not snobby about your lables, your guarenteed to get a real bargin from this place
