Birthday Celebration on 28/7/08 http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/barnet/cockfosters/cafes/miracles-en40bx.html#r52293 I paid my my first visit to Miracles in the evening on 28/7/08.

What a great place. The portions were so enormous we could not finish - except the chips!!! The best we have tasted. No matter how full we just kept on eating them!

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Everyone ordered varied and different dishes and they did not get anything wrong!!

This will not be my last visit.

Sue

Celeb Spot - Premiership footballers http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/barnet/cockfosters/cafes/miracles-en40bx.html#r37000 Miracles is one of the best cafes ever, I am prone to exageration but I am not exagerating now. It is just everything that cafes should be - with a buzzy atmosphere, fast polite service and crazy big portions. The menu is hugely varried. And you might spot an Arsenal or Chelsea player or even a member of girls aloud. Can't reccommend it enough. If you don't live in the area, get the tube to Cockfosters go for a walk round Trent Park and then have lunch in Miracles.

Wouldn't bother eating here though http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/barnet/cockfosters/pubs/cock-dragon-en49hu.html#r24188 This is a great pub, just up from Cockfosters station near the entrance to Trent Park. It's large with a big garden and lots of comfy seating. As well as being a pretty traditional boozer it also attempts to be a Thai restaurant too. I've only eaten here once but I thought it was pretty pricey and the staff were a bit rude. I recommend instead just ordering some prawn crackers and having a pint or two.

Trent Park, a little bit of countryside for the people of London http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/barnet/cockfosters/cafes/trent-park-cafeteria-en40ps.html#r18394 Trent Park is a large country park at the Northern end Picadilly Line (Cockfosters) It was "built" for the people of London to be able to enjoy the countryside without needing a car to get there. It is a great place for walking, running, playing golf or horse riding. There is an animal centre with rabbits/goats/pigs etc. The Unversity of Middlesex is based here too. The cafe does a very good hot chocolate and yummy giant cookies.

Lots of choice on menu, bit expensive http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/barnet/cockfosters/other-restaurants/hunters-en40db.html#r12760 I went to this restaurant for a relatives birthday and had a really nice time. The food was very good with lots of different types of food to choose from on the menu. The food was very tasty, prepared and presented well and the service was brilliant. I haven't been back since as it was quite expensive but would go back again probably only for a special occasion.

More than a cafe http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/barnet/cockfosters/cafes/brooklyns-grill-en40db-1.html#r11026 This very popular and always busy café serves excellent food, massive portions and all very reasonably priced and the staff are very friendly and really look after you. The menu has loads to offer and as well as having all the usual café food, they also have brilliant Turkish grill / kebab food. With meze starters from £1 each you can’t go wrong. I recommend the Sheftalia or mixed kebab with lamb kofte and chicken skewer. Most of the kebabs come with a choice of chips or rice and virtually all come with salad. The plates are like platters, they are huge and full of delicious, well cooked food. This restaurant gets very busy and is very popular, expect to wait for tables almost every night of the week and calling in advance to reserve tables is recommended.
