The price is great and the owners seem lovely. I recommend going there for breakfast with your mates

Very disorganised and to be avoided during weekends http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/brent/kensal-green/cafes/gracelands-cafe-nw105hd.html#r52454 My partner and I have been here a few times. The last visit was a few weeks ago on a Sunday morning. At best, it was chaotic and at worst, just lousy. Food and drinks are ordered at the till and then paid for before you actually get to eat anything. Okay, not such a big problem but when your order is then wrongly relayed to the cooks then it does irritate ever so slightly. The waitress was clueless. Coffee took an age to get. When it did come, there was no milk. The waitress then went over to another table that was in use and took their half jug of milk and plonked it on ours. The food isn't bad but if the order is correct. My partner had to send hers back as it was cold. I am not anti kids, far from it but some of the parents would do well to keep some of their sprogs in check. The noise levels can get a bit too much. I can only comment on breakfast here but it's just so badly disorganised. I am sure everyone works hard but when you have to wait nearly 25 mins for a coffee, then something is clearly wrong. If you want a peaceful weekend cooked breakfast with the papers, then this place is best avoided. Or get there early and take your chances. Won't be going back, at least not over a weekend or school holidays.

Great Food http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/brent/kensal-green/pubs/the-greyhound-nw103jj.html#r43354 We have been to this pub on a few occasions in recent months for food and the choice and quality has also been above expectations. The bar has a relaxed vibe with friendly staff and good variety of wines. Can get busy so its worth booking in advance.

Heavenly http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/brent/kensal-green/pubs/paradise-by-way-of-kensal-green-w104al.html#r17584 Recently refurbished, Paradise by way of Kensal Green lives up to its name. The interior is vintage chic, understated in its quirkiness and theatricality. It's laid back and cool, perfect for lively Friday nights and chilling out with friends on a Sunday afternoon. The food is good too - British pub grub very well done. They do a delicious roast on a Sunday and the pan fried sea bass is worth the trek to North West London. It's a fantastic place to go with a group of friends or for a romantic dinner. Give this utopian treat a try.

Great food - classic decor http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/brent/kensal-green/indian-restaurants/the-khas-tandoori-nw103nb.html#r7023 This place is hilarious - more fake palms than you can shake a palm at...

But seriously i've never been disappointed by the food & service (both eat-in & takeaway). The currys are well spiced and the meat is always tender and well cooked. My particular favourites are the tiki masala and madras - very different from each other but great in their unique ways.

To top it off they give you a free shot of a suspicious nameless spirit to finish of the meal. No side effects so far but i'm considering uping the dosage with 2 trips a week!

You have to be kidding! http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/brent/kensal-green/cafes/brilliant-kids-cafe-arts-centre-nw105rt.html#r6631 Wonderful food, fantastic activities and great ambience. Arabella, Flo and her team really make the experience unique and fun. Not a Mum or Dad? borrow your sisters child and go along for a day. No sisters kids to borrow? Pop in for a properly sourced and expertly cooked meal anyway.
