<![CDATA[Greater London - Brent - Wembley - Leisure and Sports - Stadiums - Reviews]]> http://www.welovelocal.com Reviews from welovelocal.com en Finally..... http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/brent/wembley/stadiums/wembley-stadium-ha90ws.html#r42611 Well it took long enough but let me say, it was well worth the wait.

I went to the Community Shield here last season and it was superb. Unlike the old Wembley, they have real toilets so you don't have to go up against the wall. They also have proper seats and not benches like before so eveyrone has a good view. Some bits are VERY steep so it looks a bit like matchstick men.

The walk from the station brings back memories, a great day out and even better if your team wins...

I wos ere' http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/brent/wembley/stadiums/wembley-stadium-ha90ws.html#r42498 My experience of the new Wembley was all good, probably because I was a guest in the corporate "Club Wembley" section tucking into a 5 course pre-match dinner washed down with the finest wine and champagne after which I was shown to a bucket sized seat situated right on the half way line. If only every trip to the footie was like that.

I have to say the new Stadium is awesome and my experience was amazing, although the journey home proved painful after England were comprehensively beaten by Croatia on the night, therefore missing out on a place in the Euro 08 finals.

To put it in perspective though, many of my mates tell me that for non-hospitality supporters the food and drink on offer is expensive.

The Cathedral Of Football http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/brent/wembley/stadiums/wembley-stadium-ha90ws.html#r41383 I’ve been lucky enough to have been to the new stadium 5 times now, twice in the corporate ‘Club Wembley’ section and the normal areas. Make no mistake, this is an awe-inspiring stadium. From the moment you pull into Wembley Park stadium you are hit with the unavoidable sight of this incredible structure. That first walk down Wembley Way makes your hairs stand on end. Once inside the stadium is equally incredible, fantastic views from every seat under that impressive arch, with the two big screens nestled within the upper tier seating. In the normal areas there are lots of food and drinks bars. Club Wembley is amazing also, as you are greeted personally by well-turned out, polite staff. Really feels like you’re entering a hotel lobby, with an attendant in the lift also! The seated area behind the stands in Club Wembley offers fantastic views of London too. Further good points include the hand-dryers in the toilets, which are so powerful they make the skin on your hands ripple, and I’ve got skinny hands! Dry in literally 5 seconds. Also the executive boxes are stylish and huge, fitting 20 in comfort!

The negatives include the expensive food and the fact that after midweek England games they force you out of the stadium, leading to the most unnecessary congestion on the way home. In fact it took me longer to get from my seat to Wembley Park (55 minutes) than from the station to Holloway! And if you want to sit in a comfortable stadium seat you’re better off at the Emirates Stadium.

You forgive all of this when you experience the electric atmosphere during a good England game. A rightly lavish centrepiece structure for English football. Now all we need is a World Cup-winning national team to play in it.

You can see. http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/brent/wembley/stadiums/wembley-stadium-ha90ws.html#r41018 I was a big fan of the old wembley, the twin towers, wembley way etc. But, one fault, you couldn't have the perfect view from every seat as there were pillars in the way! But in this new one..amazing, the arch has replaced the towers but Wembley way is still in place and you have a clear view from evey seat. Amazing!

Awsome stadium!! http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/brent/wembley/stadiums/wembley-stadium-ha90ws.html#r34632 Ive been lucky enough to have been here twice now, its an awsome sight when you walk up wembley way and see that wonderful arch, i just miss the towers to be honest! The seats in the stadium are bigger than most other stadiums and the legroom is superb! I watched the spurs win the carling cup, the atmosphere generated by over 90K fans was just superb, the occasion was just fantastic! We also had a tour of the ground and saw the inside of the stadium, the money has been well spend on facilities, ie: a hospital, lots of toilets, huge cafe`s and the attempt to make this the stadium of the world, its definately that!!

Arch-masterpiece http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/brent/wembley/stadiums/wembley-stadium-ha90ws.html#r28599 Vast, spacious and awe-inspiring. This multi-purpose stadium brings football, music and other live events into the modern day.

Everything the old Wembley wasn’t - well designed, clean with perfect views. Tube access has been greatly improved, with it possible to go from stadium seat underground train in 30 minutes.

A rightful home for the nation that invented football, just don’t mention the construction price tag.
