<![CDATA[Greater London - Bromley - Crystal Palace - Eating, Drinking and Nightlife - Reviews]]> http://www.welovelocal.com Reviews from welovelocal.com en Wonderful http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/bromley/crystal-palace/indian-restaurants/indian-dining-club-se279rb.html#r56610 This place does probably the best Indian food in London - really delicate flavours. You should also try their saffron gin - a definite winner.

Like Being in Lisbon http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/bromley/crystal-palace/portuguese-restaurants/a-torre-restaurant-se193ry.html#r56413 The food is delicious. Good fresh ingredients cooked well and served by friendly staff.

Will certainly be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a Portuguese restaurant.

Best pizza ever! http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/bromley/crystal-palace/fast-food-takeaway/pizza-fresco-se191rx.html#r52108 This was genuinely the freshest, nicest pizza I have ever had. Large pieces of freshly cooked bacon, spinach, riccotta and sun-dried tomatoes on a perfectly cooked base. Coupled with a salad and a cheescake that was frankly a damn sight more superior than the usual pizza place desserts available, I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. Excellent!

Joanna's... http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/bromley/crystal-palace/european-restaurants/joanna39s-se191rx.html#r17349 This is not particularly cheap but it's worth it for the quality. The dishes were excellent as the wine and the desserts. This is a fairly large restaurant, busy and lively. The waitress are polite and helpfull and the senior staff members wear suits!

Staff in need of a smile http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/bromley/crystal-palace/pubs/the-white-hart-se192ez.html#r9995 I had been a fan of the White Hart until recently but the staff have soon put pay to that. Those who are there are badly trained - no idea what wines they've got on offer and seemingly unable to pour a pint. They also took over 20 minutes to serve me at the bar despite not being busy. They were also rude - not only to me but to my fellow customers at the bar. The food also took over an hour to arrive - and when it did it was cold. I will be avoiding from now on

Well-fitted out, spacious boozer http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/bromley/crystal-palace/pubs/westow-house-se191tx.html#r7009 An imposing building on one corner of the Norwood Triangle, Westow House has undergone a refit and name change in the past 6 months (having been The Bluebottle for a long while).

Inside, it's all dark wood, dark tables, leather-backed sofa seats and lots of books on shelves.

The food is good and they serve a rather lovely selection of Pieminster pies - yummy!

Music was quite loud, but not overbearing and there are a good selection of drinks available, averagely priced.

Downside was no draught bitter - a personal bugbear of mine - and for a Thursday night on the recent visit, it was terribly quiet.

If it's busy, it has a good vibe and deserves to succeed.
