<![CDATA[Greater London - Camden - Fitzrovia - Eating, Drinking and Nightlife - Italian Restaurants - Reviews]]> http://www.welovelocal.com Reviews from welovelocal.com en Sardinian Food http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/fitzrovia/italian-restaurants/sardo-w1t5dq.html#r24933 Italian cuisine is often mistakenly lumped together in one category but in reality, the regional cooking styles and specialities can be wildly different - Sardinian food in particular, because of its island location and sunny clime. Sardo serves some of the dishes that you might find there.

Not Good http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/fitzrovia/italian-restaurants/ooze-risotto-bar-w1t4ne.html#r24802 I've been to Ooze Risotto Bar because I read good reviews but after my experience I would recommend this restaurant only to those who have time to waist on an ultimate disappointment. I don't think they prepare a very special risotto, I ate better risotto before. Staff is ok and the restaurant nice.

pizza tastic http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/fitzrovia/italian-restaurants/icco-pizza-w1t4lu.html#r13820 ridiculously cheap, good pizzas in central London. Great for a quick bite at lunch or on the way home from the pubs around the west end...

Variety is the rice of life! http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/fitzrovia/italian-restaurants/ooze-risotto-bar-w1t4ne.html#r11097 I went to Ooze for a friend's birthday dinner and was pleasantly surprised as I thought that specialising in just risotto might be a bit limiting. But they proved me wrong. Good menu with some classic risottos (try the Fruitti de Mare) but also some more unusual (butternut squash, hazelnuts and sage). Great for veggies too.

It's very reasonably priced and is a good choice for a group of diners with different budgets. Given that we were a group of 12 the service was prompt and everyone was served at the same time :)

Not Cheap Pizza on the Cheap http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/fitzrovia/italian-restaurants/icco-pizza-w1t4lu.html#r10891 ICCO is a simple proposition and simple sale. Skip-your-next-meal-sized pizzas for under 4 pounds. Oh, and the pizzas are good too. They aren't fancy or gourmet - you can't have artichoke hearts or any of that, but the basics are covered and the atmosphere is always buzzing. Despite an almost constant line the staff move people through quickly and the student-y spill over from UCL don't linger long. Awesome.

Mamma Mia! http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/fitzrovia/italian-restaurants/icco-pizza-w1t4lu.html#r10817 There is nothing I like more than a nice big lovely pizza, and this place certainly delivers on them! This great news is marred by one huge factor…. They take ages! Now I am a fair person and on the night in question it was rather busy but when you are on the edge of dying of hunger this news is not very welcoming!

My advice…go the pizzas great but factor in your wait!

Italian gem! http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/fitzrovia/italian-restaurants/sergios-w1w7qy.html#r9758 I've been eating at Sergios on and off for almost 10 years and it is still one of my favourite Italian restaurants. The staff are attentive, often bonkers but always fun and service is prompt. The menu has good pizza, an excellent risotto marinara and fresh daily specials - order the chargrilled asparagus starter when in season - and good house wine.

A fab spot for a team lunch.
