<![CDATA[Greater London - Camden - Fitzrovia - Home and Garden - Reviews]]> http://www.welovelocal.com Reviews from welovelocal.com en Pricey, but lovely, furniture http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/fitzrovia/furniture-shops/habitat-w1t7pj.html#r43553 Habitat has been a byword for tasteful but trendy furniture since the 60s. Now, I like they're stuff, it is a bit pricey, but you're supposed to pay for quality, right? Well, a lot of their pricing seems to be taking the pi**, some of their sofas cost as much as a car, but I can't see where the money goes. Also, they seem to have moved away from the focus on furniture and now try to get you to buy a load of tat which is themed with their collection - hence the abundance of plastic/wooden trinkets you get around the store. I'm sure Sir Terence would not have allowed this on his watch. And their website is also a fantastic example of what happens when you let marketing teams control a company's web presence - great to look about, about as useable as a wodden sandwich.

Habitat http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/fitzrovia/furniture-shops/habitat-w1t7pj.html#r11027 Habitat is the solution to furnish a house without spend so much money. This shop has a big offer of fashonable products that I can buy and change whenever I want. It's funny to go around the shop and see all the stuff! Sometimes I buy objects that I don't need, but I can't resist!!!

Silver Service for Fish http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/fitzrovia/aquarium-pond-suppliers/aquatic-design-centre-w1w6qg.html#r10209 If you're looking for an aquarium, more brightly coloured tropical fish, or just to stock up on food and water cleansing agents, this is the place to go.

I've been keeping tropical freshwater fish for 3 years now and only ever head towards this place. The staff are exceptionally friendly, very helpful and really know their stuff. As for the fish? Well they're in great condition.

Better than that, when I moved house, they even lent me some buckets to move the water from one end of the city to the next - all at no charge.

Definitely one of my favourite fish spots in the city.

extremely poor service http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/fitzrovia/furniture-shops/thisisfurniturecom-nw13ja.html#r3001 we waited months and months for furniture which never came. It was almost impossible to contact the customer service; when they do get back to you (unusual) they are less than helpful.

Sounds more like a Jermyn Street shirtmaker http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/fitzrovia/builders-merchants/james-phelps-w1t4sr.html#r2387 This establishment, which sounds more like a Jermyn Street shirtmaker than a Goodge Place Builders Merchants, is a dying breed in central London. A proper old fashioned builder’s trade counter. There’s no idle browsing here, as you can’t actually get to the goods, which you can see, but are temptingly out of reach, behind the counter. Either you know what you want, or you summon up the courage to ask, and risk the contempt of the counter staff. No, not really, they are very helpful! Particularly good for big stuff – sheets of plasterboard, bags of cement, plumbing pipes – that are generally hard to find in the West End. This place was mentioned in Paul McCartney’s biography: when he was helping out at the Indica Gallery, St james in the mid sixties, he collected some lumber from here in his open top Bentley.
