<![CDATA[Greater London - Camden - Hampstead - Health and Beauty - Reviews]]> http://www.welovelocal.com Reviews from welovelocal.com en I picked up an Eye infection here! http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/hampstead/opticians/miltons-eyecare-nw36te.html#r52381 I would recommend avoiding Milton's. They tried to give me the idea that I was receiving 'special' treatment and gave me a voucher towards the cost of glasses but in reality they were very overpriced anyway, I would say they were generally authoritarian and inconsiderate towards patients.

I picked up an eye infection on the second visit and the receptionist was actually swearing at someone over the phone as I waited to be seen.

I have since gone to specsavers and dollond & aitchison, and I find them much better than Milton's in every way especially price and attitude.

I hope this review helps someone,

very poor performance http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/hampstead/opticians/miltons-eyecare-nw36te.html#r8863 I'm sorry to say that in my case this particular optician failed me. I'm not saying that's the case for everyone.

I suffer from keratoconus which is an eye condition that affects the shape (of the eye/s).

I waited and waited for lenses, going back for further tests, phoning in every week for a whole year and finally the contact lenses arrived but they would only order one pair at a time and re-ordering took about six months in which I would needlessly be contact lense-less.

I can now order lens online from laboratories. Miltons did co-operate in supplying prescription details for this purpose. The details should usually also be on the actual lens container.

I stress that I was an NHS patient and I suspect that private patients would receive a better deal here.

I have not scratched the surface of the way I was failed and the rude and aggressive manner of the reception staff.
