The best bit about Kenwood is the cafe, with it's fab courtyard, which can be crowded on a sunny summer weekend... but is brilliant if you catch it on a fairly quiet day. It's a bit pricey, but no more so than lots of other London cafes I suppose.

Enchanting House http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/highgate/tourist-attractions/kenwood-house-nw37jr.html#r13046 Set in tranquil leafy parkland with sweeping views over London, Kenwood House was remodelled for Lord Mansfield by the great Robert Adam. Among its splendid interiors hangs the wonderful Iveagh Bequest of paintings, including masterpieces by Vermeer, Rembrant, Turner, Reynolds and Gainsborough: along with the Suffolk Collection's magnificent portraits of Elizabethan and Stuart celebrities. The 18th century landscaped grounds preserve many original features.
