<![CDATA[Greater London - Camden - Holborn - Eating, Drinking and Nightlife - Cafes - Reviews]]> http://www.welovelocal.com Reviews from welovelocal.com en A camera shop... with a cafe! http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/holborn/cafes/the-camera-cafe-wc1a1ly.html#r43739 Coffee was above average, and they have a decent range of pre-loved camera gear in here. an essential stop on a 'buying more camera' trip round central London. if you sufffer from NAS (Nikon aquisition syndrome) then this place should be at the top of your list.

brilliant delivery service http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/holborn/cafes/obriens-irish-sandwich-bar-wc1v7lu.html#r31146 I used this sandwhich bar for one of my agency runs in london. they had to meet me at 12 destinations over 2 days and they did a fantastic job! not only was the food great- varied selection and very competitavely priced. the food arrived on time at every address they were given. Would highly recomend them to a friend.

excellent location http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/holborn/cafes/guidos-wc2b6ep.html#r2395 This lovely cafe is situated in a excellent location so the atmosphere is always lively. The food seems to be pricey for the small portions they do serve. however all the food is freshly prepared, they do all day breakfasts and i would suggest that there panini's are the best item on the menu!

Hummmmm.............pizza! http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/holborn/cafes/ecco-cafe-wc2b5ru.html#r1798 One of the best spot in central London to get a cheap+delicious pizza on the go while shopping. Pepperoni is my favourite, but they also have pizza of the day always quite inspiring...I used to go there often for lunch, nice people. If you're not far from Drury Lane on your way to work, you can get a free croissant with any hot drinks. In winter, think about hot chocolate and croissant to start your day !

A nice little gem http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/holborn/cafes/guidos-wc2b6ep.html#r1732 Another cosy, independent cafe in the Holborn area - but with warm staff and open until surprisingly late. They'll do you food on and off the menu, so if you crave toast at 9 pm, they'll be able to provide.

It's a sit-down do, though take-out is available too. Coffee is perfectly acceptable, as are the main meals, and pricing isn't bad compared to the other chains in the area.

Large, independent, decent http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/holborn/cafes/caffe-amici-wc2b6xd.html#r1728 A perfectly acceptable coffee shop that's independent and has drinkable coffee. It also does a range of food, though not as much as you might expect from the outside.

Its key benefits are the big windows facing onto the Aldwych that permit people-watching and it's fairly quiet so one can spend a great deal of time there undisturbed. Coffee is table-service and the staff are friendly.

Unfortunately, it doesn't have a toilet, though public toilets are a very short walk away opposite the Royal Courts of Justice.

Student Starbucks http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/holborn/cafes/starbucks-wc2b6lh.html#r1726 This is, as expected, virtually identical to most Starbucks, though located only on one floor and features a large long table perfectly usable as a meeting table at the back (can possibly be booked). It also has a large number of sofas for such a small Starbucks, and the servery is long and well-located to serve the high volume of customers from nearby LSE.

Avoid if you don't like students at peak times! It includes a free toilet for customers however.

Warm, cozy - not cheap as chips though http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/holborn/cafes/temple-bar-wc2r2ph.html#r1724 Until the smoking ban, Temple Bar was one of the very few places one could smoke while eating their lunch. This attracted a regular clientele, but they're still very friendly to newcomers.

It is less a "bar", more a cafe, with coffee, hot and cold food including sandwiches, paninis, soup and pasta dishes. The pricing is on the slightly higher side, considering my tomato soup was nothing more than canned tomato soup heated up, but it does have an indoor seating area that always has space, despite the regular lunchtime queues.

The food is perfectly decent however, and service is quick so it's a good place if you want a sit-down cafe meal that is somewhere not too busy.
